Associate Medical Director
MedThink, a Fingerpaint company, offers extensive medical communications through two distinct
divisions: MedThink SciCom, which harnesses deep scientific knowledge and extensive industry
experience to develop solutions for medical affairs, medical communications and publications groups,
and MedThink Communications, which provies healthcare communications and marketing services to
commercial teams that leverages performance-driven medical eduction to enhance HCP beliefs and
understanding.

The Associate Medical Director is responsible for the development and review of scientific/medical
content in a variety of formats (slides, advisory board meetings, websites, etc.); providing medical
education, internally to promotional writing staff and account team, and externally to clients; accurate
interpretation of data; presentations of medical content and strategy, including clinical discussions
about treatment options with clients, speakers, and HCP's; supporting new business presentations;
management of writing staff; efficient planning and organization; establishing effective working
interactions with editorial, creative, account services, and project management teams; and efficiently
producing high-quality deliverables.
Position Requirements
- PhD, MD, PharmD, or advanced nursing degree
Experience
- 3-4 years professional content development experience at a promotional medical communications agency
- Demonstrable expertise in multiple therapeutic areas
- Extensive experience developing speaker slides decks, advisory board content, white papers, disease state summaries, etc
Position Responsibilities
- Demonstrates behavior expected of a professional member of the organization, including but not limited to:
- Serve as a therapeutic category expert while working in cross-functional teams
- Confidently engage internal colleagues, clients, and expert HCP's in collaborative project meetings, presenting medical content and strategic recommendations
- Creates accurate scientific/medical writing for a variety of medical communication and promotional projects
- Translate scientific concepts into promotional content in collaboration wtih copy writers, creative directors and medical writers
- Stay up-to-date on scientific developments and their medical implications
- Understand the clinical utility of therapeutic choices within disease states
- Ensure quality standards and provide final sign-off on promotional projects
- Mentor and review work of other team members
- Support new business initiatives
- Represent the agency with the highest standards in all endeavors
- Excellent work product requiring minimal internal review
- Regular engagement with pharaceutical clients and HCP's
- Willingness to travel (approximately 15%)

- Excellent writing abilities (clear, concise, creative)
- Diligent problem-solving skills
- Ability to consitently apply critical thinking
- Expertise with creating content in PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to understand and consistently apply marketing strategies when developing content for promotional medical education
- Ability to handle multiple timelines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Wrod, Excel, Outlook and reference management software (e.g. Endnote, Reference Manager)
- Ability to provide scientific, strategic, and tactical direction to writers, account team, creative team and clients
