Social Content Strategist
Description
- Contribute to the implementation of social media strategies to increase brand visibility and engagement across social platforms.
- Support social listening initiatives by monitoring conversations, identify emerging trends, and understand audience sentiment within the healthcare and patient communities. Translate these insights to assist in developing data-driven content strategies that directly address audience needs, inform messaging, and optimize content to drive meaningful engagement and conversation.
- Support the development and execution of community engagement strategies that promote interaction and foster social community growth. Develop and manage content calendars for organic content.
- Work closely with paid media experts to ensure that paid and organic strategies are synergistic, translating key campaign messages into organic content opportunities and ensuring organic content supports the goals of paid campaigns.
- Collaborate with creative teams to conceptualize and develop social media content that aligns with strategic and engagement objectives.
- Work closely with the account and MLR teams to ensure every piece of content, branded or unbranded, adheres to FDA and platform-specific guidelines, including checking for fair balance in branded content, ensuring proper disclosures, and flagging any potential platform considerations.
- Help monitor and identify significant social media and pharmaceutical advertising industry trends, and integrate these advancements into social media strategies.
- Support cross-functional collaboration with creative, production, brand, media, and digital strategy teams.
- Assist with analysis of creative performance based on goals and KPIs, spend, organic performance, community growth for specific audiences (eg, healthcare professionals (HCPs), patients, caregivers) and associated optimization recommendations, including sharing these insights with creative teams and recommending future content
- Contribute to timely and accurate completion of client deliverables, ad-hoc requests, and social media POVs.
- 3-5 years of experience in social media content strategy
- Direct experience in the pharmaceutical (or consumer health) industry, solid understanding of the regulatory environment.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Meticulous attention to detail and ability to thoroughly and effectively QA deliverables.
- Ability to assess and analyze performance data to guide the development of insights and optimization recommendations.
- A deep understanding of major social media platforms and their unique content requirements, including best practices.
- Communication and project management skills, experience collaborating cross-functionally.
- Demonstrated ability to craft and execute effective social media strategies by leveraging social listening and audience research to understand patient and HCP perspectives, consumption habits, and barriers within the social landscape.
