This role requires attention to detail and strong organizational skills. You’ll be responsible for supporting leadership in account management, including day-to-day account activities. And we’ll require you to work with agency team leaders to facilitate optimal client service and a quality experience



Objectives of this Role 

The Senior Account Executive (SAE) supports the members of the account team by cultivating and maintaining solid relationships with clients, implementing and managing projects in a timely and efficient way, and by assuring top-level delivery to meet client expectations. This position will be responsible for developing, managing, and directing aspects of peer-reviewed publications and scientific communications for assigned accounts.

Position Responsibilities 
  • Lead and support day-to-day activities across assigned accounts and projects in medical communications.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring alignment of project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project timelines, internal status reports, and meeting agendas.
  • Coordinate submission and follow-up of scientific materials (e.g., abstracts, posters, manuscripts).
  • Maintain publication details in publication management portals (e.g., iEnvision, PubStrat, PubsHub).
  • Manage project-related financials, estimates, and budgets.
  • Route materials through internal processes (outlines, manuscripts, layouts, proofs) and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Assist in organizing and conducting internal status meetings, client kickoff calls, and weekly check-ins.
  • Champion process improvements and contribute to operational best practices.
  • Perform research and provide support for strategic problem-solving.
  • Help identify and cultivate growth opportunities within current client accounts.
 
Know How
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in scientific communications and publication management/development in an agency or pharmaceutical company
  • Demonstrated leadership experience/potential
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with publication management software (e.g., iEnvision)
  • Excellent research/data entry skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Superior oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to manage numerous projects, requests, and responsibilities
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
  • Superior ability to develop productive relationships with both internal and external colleagues
