Engage, a Fingerpaint company, helps global pharmaceutical companies make better digital investment decisions by seeing and understanding their data. We turn this understanding into clear and prioritised brand and business opportunities. 

Engage is currently seeking an Account Director who will be responsible for large agency client accounts, ensuring the smooth running and execution of marketing campaigns from briefing the internal team and developers through to client liaison and delivery of high quality, strategically aligned assets to agreed deadlines, and in line with budgets.  This is a role working across all aspects of digital including data-enabled marketing, emerging technologies, mobile, search, display, brand, direct response and content.

Responsibilities:

  • This person will be the clients’ first point of contact for project delivery and will be comfortable liaising with clients at a senior level
  • Ultimate responsibility for overall account handling, ensuring all projects are completed to a high level of quality, to deadline and within agreed budgets
  • Use strength of client relationships to produce great digital executions and strategies, using your skills to inspire clients (and the agency) creatively and strategically
  • Working with peers, external agency suppliers and publishers effectively to provide the utmost level of client service at all times
  • Contribute towards client pitches and annual brand planning process, and pro-actively take new opportunities to your client base

Skills required:

  • Proven account handling experience across major global/regional pharmaceutical accounts
  • Strong understanding and experience in all areas of healthcare digital marketing, including digital trends in healthcare, and consumer 
  • Experience in professional client relationship management and the ability to communicate at a senior level
  • Create an environment that fosters idea sharing to achieve strategic goals
  • Take ownership in developing mid-level staff, providing strategic guidance and teaching them how to be future leaders
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to work within agreed timings and budgets
  • Appreciation of the brand landscape across multiple therapy areas and the ability to plan activity across the brand lifecycle
  • Ability to use client approval systems (Veeva)
  • Sound knowledge of the ABPI Code of Practice regulations
  • Good understanding of how a print/online media schedule works, including the various ad-types required for fulfilment and preferred publishers to use
  • Collaborative and entrepreneurial self-starter and good team-player
  • Recognise wider agency cross-discipline opportunities and take senior role in new business opportunities

Expectations: 

  • You will be expected to attend client meetings and briefings, so occasional travel is required along with being competent at leading these meetings
  • Maintaining regular and close contact with clients is key and all emails/phone calls should be acknowledged within the same working day
  • Your commitment will tend to be standard office hours, however deadlines or the demands of a client may see you working early or late occasionally to ensure continued success
