Senior Account Executive
Description
- Lead and support day-to-day activities across assigned accounts and projects in medical communications.
- Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring alignment of project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain detailed project timelines, internal status reports, and meeting agendas.
- Coordinate submission and follow-up of scientific materials (e.g., abstracts, posters, manuscripts).
- Maintain publication details in publication management portals (e.g., iEnvision, PubStrat, PubsHub).
- Manage project-related financials, estimates, and budgets.
- Route materials through internal processes (outlines, manuscripts, layouts, proofs) and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Assist in organizing and conducting internal status meetings, client kickoff calls, and weekly check-ins.
- Champion process improvements and contribute to operational best practices.
- Perform research and provide support for strategic problem-solving.
- Help identify and cultivate growth opportunities within current client accounts.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in scientific communications and publication management/development in an agency or pharmaceutical company
- Demonstrated leadership experience/potential
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with publication management software (e.g., iEnvision)
- Excellent research/data entry skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Superior oral and written communications skills
- Ability to manage numerous projects, requests, and responsibilities
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
- Superior ability to develop productive relationships with both internal and external colleagues
