What You’ll Be Doing
As our Bookkeeper / Tax Compliance Officer, you’ll play a key role in keeping our financial operations accurate, compliant, and efficient. You will:
- Record, reconcile, and maintain general ledger accounts in line with IFRS and company standards
- Prepare and file BIR returns (ITR, VAT, DST, Compensation Tax, and Final Taxes) on time and with supporting documentation
- Manage fixed asset registers, accruals, provisions, and prepayments to ensure accurate reporting
- Conduct weekly cash flow forecasts, monthly P&L and balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliations
- Review and verify bi-monthly payroll in Sprout, ensuring accuracy of deductions, cost centers, and statutory filings
- Collaborate with legal, external auditors, and tax advisors to ensure corporate and regulatory compliance
Must-Have Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and/or tax compliance
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Accountancy, or related field
- Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws and BIR filings (VAT, ITR, withholding taxes, payroll taxes, etc.)
- Experience using accounting software (Xero preferred) and payroll systems (Sprout or similar)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis tools)
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
Nice-to-Haves Qualification
- CPA licensure or ongoing certification
- Specialized training in Philippine taxation or accounting software
- Experience handling foreign currency transactions and transfer pricing
- Previous work in a multinational or fast-paced environment
