What You’ll Be Doing
As a Management Accountant reporting to the Australia-based Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in safeguarding the financial health and compliance of the business. You’ll work closely with senior leaders, managers, and finance teams to deliver accurate financial reports, insightful analysis, and support operational decisions.
Your responsibilities will include:
● Deliver monthly management accounts and results in line with approved timetables
● Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring data integrity across all accounts (including liability balances, revenue received in advance, and expense provisions)
● Assist with preparation and lodgment of BAS/IAS returns
● Partner with leaders and the Finance Manager to prepare budgets, forecasts, and rolling forecasts
● Act as the main contact for external auditors and respond to audit queries
● Ensure consistency between operational platforms and accounting software (Sage Intacct)
● Provide AP and AR support or supervision when required
● Identify and implement improvements to reporting, analysis, and finance processes
What You’ll Bring
● 3+ years of Australian accounting and tax experience
● Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CPA preferred)
● Experience in management accounting, reconciliations, and compliance
● Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills with high attention to detail
● Sage Intacct experience highly desirable
● Experience in media, creative, PR, production, or professional services environments preferred
● Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
