What You’ll Be Doing

As a valued member of the Finance team, you’ll play an important role in ensuring smooth, accurate, and compliant payroll operations across Australia and the United States. This is a hands-on role where your attention to detail and proactive approach will directly support employees and the wider business.

Your responsibilities will include:

        Processing payroll with confidence: Monthly payroll for Australia and fortnightly payroll for California, USA.

        Ensuring compliance: Managing Single Touch Payroll (STP) submissions and year-end reconciliations.

        Supporting employees: Handling payroll queries with care and delivering timely resolutions.

        Managing contributions: Preparing superannuation, payroll tax, WorkCover, and WGEA reports.

        Keeping everything accurate: Maintaining payroll data and up-to-date records.

        Recognising great work: Processing sales commissions, bonuses, and staff expense reimbursements.

        Partnering for success: Working closely with People & Culture on payroll and headcount reporting.

        Driving improvement:  Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and supporting sustainability initiatives.

 

What You’ll Bring

        Proven payroll experience, preferably with exposure to both Australia (mandatory) and California, USA (preferred) payroll

        Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, STP, superannuation, and tax compliance

        Proficiency with payroll systems, HRIS, and Microsoft Excel

        Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in calculations

        Strong communication and problem-solving skills

        Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently

Bonus Points For

        Experience in payroll process improvements or automation projects

        Previous exposure to ProSpend or similar expense management systems

        Familiarity with Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) reporting
