What You’ll Be Doing
As a valued member of the Finance team, you’ll play an important role in ensuring smooth, accurate, and compliant payroll operations across Australia and the United States. This is a hands-on role where your attention to detail and proactive approach will directly support employees and the wider business.
Your responsibilities will include:
● Processing payroll with confidence: Monthly payroll for Australia and fortnightly payroll for California, USA.
● Ensuring compliance: Managing Single Touch Payroll (STP) submissions and year-end reconciliations.
● Supporting employees: Handling payroll queries with care and delivering timely resolutions.
● Managing contributions: Preparing superannuation, payroll tax, WorkCover, and WGEA reports.
● Keeping everything accurate: Maintaining payroll data and up-to-date records.
● Recognising great work: Processing sales commissions, bonuses, and staff expense reimbursements.
● Partnering for success: Working closely with People & Culture on payroll and headcount reporting.
● Driving improvement: Identifying opportunities to streamline processes and supporting sustainability initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
● Proven payroll experience, preferably with exposure to both Australia (mandatory) and California, USA (preferred) payroll
● Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, STP, superannuation, and tax compliance
● Proficiency with payroll systems, HRIS, and Microsoft Excel
● Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in calculations
● Strong communication and problem-solving skills
● Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently
Bonus Points For
● Experience in payroll process improvements or automation projects
● Previous exposure to ProSpend or similar expense management systems
● Familiarity with Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) reporting
