Job Summary:

The HR Manager III - Tool Center will lead full cycle HR management of the Cincinnati Tool Center, in addition to all Tool Center facilities in the US and Canada.  This includes leadership, development and execution of contemporary, positive employee relations strategies, programs, and guidelines that balance business partnership and employee advocacy within the Tooling Centers.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of contemporary HR strategies, programs, and practices that balance business partnership and employee advocacy.
  • Lead full cycle HR support for tooling center employees, including but not limited to positive employee relations and site culture, staffing, compensation management, performance management, investigations, career development/progression, leadership training and coaching.
  • Drive a positive employee relations culture framework, with regular site pulse check ins and assessments. Train managers on positive employee relations practices.
  • Own and develop positive relationships across all levels of employees within the Tooling Centers, including hourly and salaried workforce, in support of their well-being
  • Drive strong front line leadership practices with leaders and HR team members, in collaboration with employees, Region HR Director and Tooling General Manager.
  • Enable and encourage employee lead committees, for site team building and spirit of involvement.
  • Support managers in open and transparent communication.
  • Enable and support a culture of recognition, where employees and managers speak up and feel appreciation for doing things above and beyond.
  • Remain current on labor trends and issues. Possess and maintain an understanding of all aspects of labor and human resources related laws, regulations, and practices including but not limited to US specific regulations.  Adjust practices as needed.
  • Coach managers and support employees through confidential issues and conflict resolution. Seek workable solutions; conduct individual and/or group facilitations to foster effective communication and healthy workplace relationships among employees
  • Present NAM Tooling operations facts and recommendations verbally and in writing, and communicate those effectively to employees, management, and senior leaders.
  • Seek employee feedback and empower employee voice to provide recommendations for changes and improvements.
  • Represent the company in contract negotiations and dispute resolutions with employees and/or labor unions where/when applicable. Support the administration, interpretation, application, and negotiation of collective bargaining agreements in partnership with labor unions, legal, and business leaders when applicable.
  • Develop and implement leadership training to enable leaders to comply with site practices, proactively identify and navigate risks, and maintain positive employee relations
  • Travel may be required
  • May be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values.


Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations/Industrial Relations, Business, Management, Social Sciences, Psychology, or related field, or equivalent
  • 10+ years of hands-on progressive HR experience in union and non-union facilities, supporting both salaried and hourly workforces
  • 5+ years of energy or utilities industry experience
  • English proficiency required
