Accounts Payable Manager II, ( 21-4864)

Job Summary:

The Accounts Payable Manager II will work with Finance and vendor partners ensuring that all processes related to the processing of accounts payable transactions within a complex region are executed appropriately. Will operate as the subject matter expert and escalation point to resolve issues and continuously look for improvements in operational processes. Will be responsible for effective management of the region or vendor partner team to include coaching and counseling. Implements workable solutions to business issues/problems

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Relationship manager between FieldCore, APEX and third-party providers
  • Establish region specific SLA’s and manage vendor partners to such
  • Acts as escalation point to ensure timely closure of items open in APEX Perceptive system
  • Manage relationship between FieldCore teams and GE Shared Service (APEX) center
  • Partner with region finance team to ensure appropriate funding for payables
  • Prepare and review dashboard of established metrics, ensuring payables occur within prescribed time frames
  • Develop and implement processes to ensure effective reconciliation of open payable items and concerns
  • Responsible for day to day management of region AP team internal and third party
  • Work with sourcing team to facilitate accurate onboarding of suppliers/ vendors
  • Submit new AP Supplier Request forms to the Sourcing department as needed
  • Perform vendor account research
  • Audit supporting documentation to ensure accuracy of invoice charges
  • Partner with payroll Initiate vendor payments through Webcash and/or banking systems
  • Support funding requirements to all FieldCore locations
  • Drive internal audits with vendor partner
  • Manage and develop employees
  • Travel may be required
  • May be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 8+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge
  • 3+ years of specialized/industry experience
  • 3+ years managing and developing employees
  • Experience in power generation or technical industry can be substituted for degree and/or project management experience
  • English proficiency required
