Resource Manager II or III, Steam Power, ( 21-5209)

Job Summary:

The Steam Power Resource Manager II or III will support demand signal capture up to assignments for the steam power segment. Will work closely with Steam Power segment to plan and properly capture and input demand signal in the appropriate FieldCore systems for Field Engineers and Craft Labor. Will then work closely with Resource Managers to identify the field resources to be assigned to critical  Steam Power customers based upon their skills, abilities, availability, and crew performance to maximize the effectiveness of the crew, deliver standard outage planning, fulfillment, consistent results, and continuous improvement of field services across critical fleet assets, while accounting for customer specific KPI’s. Will also take care of the interface in case Fieldcore needs to borrow a field resource from the Steam Power pool of employees. Last but not least, Steam Power Resource Manager II or III will perform financial close out with Steam Power for invoicing and billing of services provided.

The Steam Power Resource Manager II or III will demonstrate accountability for FieldCore NAM targets, improved Fulfillment 5 outcomes, ensure lessons learned and best practices are being incorporated along with LEAN principles to drive continuous improvement and elimination of repeated escapes. Will manage complex issues, be involved long term planning, support emergent needs and escalations, as well as frequent customer updates in conjunction with Fleet Service Director.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify employees to jobs based upon their skills, abilities, availability, and crew performance to maximize the effectiveness of the crew (Field engineers and craft mechanics).
  • Keep bilateral capacity planning with resources team based on demand visibility of critical fleet customers.
  • Ensure proper on time mobilization of assigned resources and contingency plans for each job.
  • Responsible for field service fulfillment for critical fleet customers, ensure successful, consistent outcomes across the customer fleets
  • Represent the steam resources strategy in Outage Readiness Reviews. Understand the crew score of the assigned team and facilitate lessons learnt from previous outages to flow to the team.
  • Travel required as necessary to support site activities, escalations, audits and customer meetings.
  • Ensure Field Performance Survey completion for each job about the field resources assigned in order to register individual performance. Contribute to yearly performance review process for field employees working in fleet customers jobs. Provide feedback to resource management COEs in order to continue technical and leadership development of field employees.
  • Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field with minimum three to five years project management experience
  • 8+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge
  • 3+ years of specialized/industry experience
  • Experience in power generation or technical industry can be substituted for degree and/or project management experience
  • English proficiency required
