Job Summary:

The Finance Manager I will maintain the General Ledger and oversee all activity posted via Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and PA subledgers for small function/region/country. Will develop and manage a team of finance personnel.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain GL, oversee all activity posted via Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and PA subledgers and IBS and iReceivable information
  • Book journal entries as needed
  • Ensure timely, accurate and complete monthly close
  • Prepare Balance Sheet Accounts reconciliations in accordance with GE standards
  • Review and analyze Sales and CV, records month end accruals both COS and Operating Cost
  • Handle statutory auditing reviews with external accounting firm, CAS site audits
  • Oversee tax audits, government agencies requirements and legal related matters
  • Supervise statutory accounting and prepare S2G reconciliation
  • Assist in the elaboration of Transfer Pricing studies
  • Prepare annual operating plan, costs analysis and variance explanations for quarterly updates
  • Ensure all taxes and obligations are properly accrued, filed and paid timely (COFINS, PIS, INSS, ISS; Corporate Tax; Payroll taxes), maintain e-compliance tracker
  • Manage cash flow by monitoring bank transactions to avoid unapplied cash and maintain AP aging current
  • Coordinate closure of foreign exchange contract with broker and bank, providing documentation required by the bank
  • Manage withholding tax reconciliations with customers, provide information needed to file monthly tax returns, obtain and provide payment proof receipts
  • Ensure timely recording and payment of intercompany obligations
  • Support operational areas with financial data to facilitate costs analysis, pricing and special projects as required
  • Work closely with payroll provider to obtain in a timely manner salary advances and monthly payroll information
  • Improve financial processes and internal controls
  • Manage and develop employees
  • Travel may be required

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
  • 7+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge
  • 2+ years managing and developing employees
  • 2+ years of specialized/industry experience
  • Advance skills with Microsoft Excel and Outlook are required
  • English proficiency required

Desired Characteristics:

  • CPA preferred
  • Experience with an ERP system is preferred (SAP-Oracle)
  • Exposure to international business environment is highly preferred
  • Performance driven; ability to achieve goals in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously
  • Customer service oriented
  • Strong International Accounting and Fiscal skills
