Field Service Technician - Wind Izmir, Turkey


Job Summary:

The Wind Tooling Support Technician I will be responsible to maintain and update records, inspect, and coordinate shipping of tooling from a designated location. The Wind Tooling Support Technician I will update the company databases as appropriate ensuring accurate materials and tooling status.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Track tooling and calibration requests that are open and need to be processed
  • Meet or exceed specified timeframes for processing and delivery of tooling requests
  • Track shipments that have been sent to Field Service Representatives to use in repairing customer parts as well as tools that are being returned for calibration
  • Update and maintain records of tools that have been calibrated or need calibration. 
  • As stocks are depleted issue purchase orders to vendors to order parts and maintain inventory of tools and supplies.
  • Complete field inspections for tooling and kits verifying serviceable use, or submitting for repair, recertification, or replacement as necessary
  • Support managers in on-boarding and off-boarding technicians by facilitating the deployment and return of equipment
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure that each kit has the proper quantity and tools needed.
  • Provide logistics support for Field Technician’s tooling
  • Provide support for local field training as a qualified and certified tower climber
  • Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments
  • May be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values.
  • Travel Required

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Technical degree or diploma in Electrical or Mechanical discipline or Logistics role or equivalent of 2+ years’ experience in the field
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • English Proficiency Required

Physical Requirements

  • Candidates must be certified to climb up to 300+ feet ladder and tower rescued trained.
  • Candidates must be able to walk across the hub and, in the event of an emergency, repel off.
  • Candidates must be able to rarely climb on an as needed basis.
  • Must meet specific weight requirements of tower ladders under OSHA standards of 250 to 300 lbs. max, including personal protective equipment (approx. 30-35lbs).
  • Must be comfortable working in confined space(s).
  • Must be able to see and move throughout site to resolve work problems and facilitate processes; repetitive motion activities may be involved.
  • Frequent climbing, walking, and standing, bending, kneeling, and squatting.
  • Ability and willingness to handle repetitive weight up to 50 lbs.
  • Successful completion of the climb test and tower rescue training.
