Job Summary:
The Tax Accountant I will manage the timely processing of employee payroll taxes, garnishments and appropriate Government filings for US tax purposes. This position will coordinate with the Payroll and Tax Departments to calculate Shadow Payroll Tax processing. This coordination will include working with the Payroll Tax Specialist, and will perform duties of the Payroll Tax Specialist in his or her absence. This position will reconcile all payroll tax accounts and perform reconciliation of other related tax accounts. You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepare global monthly/bi-monthly/quarterly VAT workbook and reconciliation ((IP Europe and NAM regions) including manual vouching of invoices and data gathering for VAT register and liaise with GE and 3rd party firm (PWC/EY/Consulthink/ASN) to ensure timely return filing and payment, at the same time maintain the cleanliness of VAT accounts in the books.
  • Prepare quarterly reconciliation of Global CIT accounts, VAT and Other Tax accounts, and submit them through ARM portal. Communicate with reviewers, Finance colleagues, Region Controllers, and auditors (CAS/Deloitte) for open item issues, resolve and monitor until accounts are closed and reconciled.
  • Prepare Non-US RTA (Return to Accrual) workbooks including current and deferred roll forward analysis and accounts clean up, ensuring complete, accurate and up to date balance of Income Tax accounts in accordance with ASC 740.
  • Ensure accurate and up to date annual filing of Stat to Tax and RTA in STIR (Statutory and Tax Information Reporting), as well as in e-compliance.
  • Proactively support our finance partners and stakeholders within the full tax life cycle as tax expert across Europe region (direct and indirect taxes).
  • Timely communicate, plan, and provide deliverables internally and externally within the full tax life cycle– transfer pricing, tax business advisory/planning opportunity, tax returns, audit positions, and 3rd party providers engagements.
  • Proactively partner and communicate with finance stakeholders and 3rd party firms to provide accurate and timely information and prepare audit ready tax packages – mitigate audit risk, reduce time & $ spent
  • Assist on Tax audits, such as providing schedules, sales listing, invoice copies, etc. as necessary.
  • Assist on US Tax Filing/compliance (GTW, SALT, Forms 5472) as necessary.
  • Proactively assist on Lean process, special projects, research, and tax planning where necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Accountancy graduate (CPA is an advantage)
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant Tax and Financial reporting experience required.
  • Proficient in SAP, Hyperion/FDL
  • Advanced/Intermediate+ level with Microsoft Excel (knowledge of basic macro, H look up, pivot, index match, IF functions preferred)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to details required
Output-oriented, Strong communication and organizational skills with ability to produce accurate and timely deliverables, and handle multiple and shifting priorities in a dynamic and diverse working environment
