Field Service Technician – Operations & Maintenance Remote, Spain

Job Summary:

The Field Services Methods Advisor III provides consistent, high quality Field Procedures (FPs) to enable Field Service outage excellence. Partners with Gas Power, FieldCore (FC) stakeholders, and subject matter experts to develop, create, revise, and maintain FPs and other methods for different technologies and products (i.e. Gas Power and Gas Turbine (GT), Steam turbines, Generator, Alstom, Aeroderivative, Controls, etc).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Create and maintain consistent, high quality, Gas Power methods to enable Field Service outage excellence
    • Standardize and improve content of Gas Power Field Procedures and methods
    • Implement standardization and improvements of FPs and methods for a specific technology
    • Collaborate with RTCoE, Systems, Design Engineering, and Training teams to develop methods and training for New Product Introduction (NPI) including new product lines and new outage tooling
    • Follow the Field Procedure revision process, implementing valid recommendations from Field Execution teams
    • Break down maintenance activities into concise, step by step written procedures tailored to average field service trained personnel
    • Collaborate with FC safety and quality teams as a key contributor to requirements for next-generation FP solutions
    • Collaborate with regional Field Engineering teams to simplify and improve FPs
    • Develop and implement Corrective Actions from NCRs and RCAs that require FP changes
    • Travel may be required (less than 5%).
    • May be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values

Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s or Technical Degree or equivalent, applicable technical experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
    • 7+ years of experience in Field Services, Engineering or Operations
    • 2+ years of specialized/industry experience
    • Strong English language communication capability, both verbal and written

Desired Characteristics

    • Field Engineering and/or factory manufacturing experience
    • Experience in writing technical procedures or documents
    • Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PPT) including the use of styles and templates
    • Resourceful and adaptive to change
    • Strong customer service mindset
    • Strong project management / process management skills
    • Familiarity with bills of material (SBOM) and engineering drawings (PLM)
