Role Summary/Purpose

The IT Developer Lead I will have technical responsibility for the enhancement and support of applications systems. In this position the candidate will review, analyze, and modify programming systems to support business requirements. Analysis of business application system, technical design and applications programming skills are necessary to properly support business applications.

Essential Function

• Responsible for SAP ABAP development, with both custom development and customizations to existing processes, including development and enhancements of Reports (ALV, Lists), Interfaces (IDOC/ALE, BAPIs, Webservices, File based interfaces, RFCs), Conversions (LSMW, BDCs), Enhancements (User-exits, Implicit/Explicit Enhancements), Forms (SmartForms, Adobe Forms, SAP Scripts) and Workflows
• Supports SAP ERP by implementing, solving break/fix issues, and by providing design and development of RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Forms and Workflows)
• Must have extensive experience with ABAP Objects, ABAP classes and interfaces, data dictionary, structures/extensions and Function Modules
• Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of SAP methodology, principles, theories, concepts and techniques; and leadership skills including planning, scheduling, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates
• Translates functional specifications into technical specifications with detailed knowledge of SAP tables/fields.
• Analyzes production issues as necessary to determine the cause of the issue and determine the necessary course of action for resolution.
• Develop and maintain technical unit and integrated test scenarios as well as regression testing
• Ability to coordinate with offshore teams and manage handoffs with an onsite / offshore model
• Participate in knowledge transfer sessions and code reviews
• Follows and helps to establish coding standards
• Contributes to achievement of team performance and quality standards as defined by service level agreements
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or other related field of study preferred.
• 7+ years of SAP programming experience required. Experience with SAP ECC 6.0 required.
• 2+ years of development experience in SAP (for example ABAP, UI5, Netweaver Gateway (OData), LSMW, Webdynpro, User Exits, BADI, Implicit Enhancements, Explicit Enhancements, BAPI, ABAP Workflow, Reports (Classical, ALV and Interactive), ALE, EDI, IDOC, File, SAP Forms/Layout (Script and Smartforms), Data Dictionary, Module pool programming and OO ABAP Programming)
• Minimal travel required
• English proficiency required
