Job Summary:

The Mobility Tax Manager I is responsible for managing the organizations global mobility tax functions. These functions include establishing and maintaining the organizations global mobility tax processes, reporting, compliance, and initiatives. Prepares, manages, and reports the organizations global mobility tax position to various interdependent functions and to finance leadership.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Utilize expertise to provide guidance on compliance matters related to Global Mobility,
  • Monitor the statutory environment, research technical tax compliance and regulatory changes, and understand tax and immigration as well as assignment and relocation market practices
  • Partner with finance leadership, immigration, payroll, and human resources to ensure internal customers are properly advised regarding the global mobility program and relevant tax legislation
  • Assess market practices and implement appropriate policies and services to mitigate and manage the organization tax exposure, tax risk, and assets through recovery efforts
  • Oversee and manage the timely and accurate global mobility taxable wages and tax liability computations with finance department and third-party service provider
  • Ensure timely, complete, and accurate payroll processing of mobility tax payments and year-end wage reporting statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Serve as primary contact for all global mobility tax stakeholders (Immigration, Finance, Resource Managers, and Employees)
  • Create shared resources, including project plans, checklists, knowledge databases, and standard operating procedures
  • Track, maintain, and validate vendor/third-party service providers deadlines, invoicing, and deliverables
  • Manage and develop employees
  • Travel may be required
  • May be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 7+ years of global mobility tax experience
  • Working knowledge of international expatriate tax matters, understanding of basic accounting chargeback, corporate income tax, and permanent establishment issues impacting mobility matters
  • Success balancing priorities of strategic, technical, and administrative nature
  • 2+ years managing and developing employees
  • 2+ years of specialized/industry experience
  • English proficiency required

  • Experience in projects related to continuous improvement
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of taxes and tax registrations
  • Experience with managing third-party service providers in various global locations
  • Ability to research complex projects and provide clear written and verbal communication to various levels of management
  • Ability to interact and adapt quickly in a variety of international environments and settings
  • Ability to travel as required to both domestic and foreign locations
