Job Summary:

The Labor Relations Manager III will lead the development and execution of contemporary employee and labor relations strategies, programs, and guidelines to coordinate and foster positive labor/management relations and balance competitiveness and employee advocacy. This position will represent the company in contract negotiations, dispute resolutions and arbitrations, and will develop and implement grievance and emergency response procedures. The Labor Relations Manager III will remain current on bargaining trends and issues, have an understanding of all aspects of labor and human resources related laws, regulations, principles, concepts and practices including but not limited to the NLRB, Title VII, ADA and FMLA, and will adjust practices as needed. This position will advise and train local HR and leadership teams on all applicable employee and labor relations matters to ensure compliance with agreements and laws, mitigate risk, and maintain positive employee and union relationships. You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of contemporary employee and labor relations strategies, programs, and guidelines to coordinate and foster positive labor/management relations and balance competitiveness and employee advocacy
  • Drive strong front-line leadership practices with leaders and HR team members
  • Lead and develop a positive employee and labor relations culture for the business
  • Represent the company in contract negotiations and dispute resolutions with employees and labor unions
  • Develop and implement labor relations policies and procedures, including grievance, emergency response, and exit interview procedures
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the administration, interpretation, application, and negotiation of collective bargaining agreements
  • Liaise with managers, employees, and their representatives to investigate and resolve grievances and develop strategies to prevent their recurrence
  • Analyze and interpret bargaining trends and issues, regulations, and laws to understand their impact on the company and adjust employee relations practices as needed
  • Develop and implement leadership training on labor relations to enable leaders to comply with agreements and contracts, proactively identify and navigate risks and maintain positive employee relations
  • Advise local HR and management teams on labor relations to maintain constructive union relationships
  • Manage the relationships between legal counsel, mediators, and external consultants to ensure the organization's interests are well-represented
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Travel may be required
  • English proficiency required

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Labor Relations/Industrial Relations, or related field
  • At least 7 years of experience in developing, implementing, and managing industrial relations programs
  • Experience in working with trade unions /works councils and advising on wide-ranging industrial relations
  • Experience in policy writing and development
