Job Summary:

The Payroll Supervisor II will supervise payroll practitioners, ensuring that all processes are executed appropriately and in a timely manner. The Payroll Supervisor II will operate as the subject matter expert and escalation point to resolve issues and continuously looks for improvements in operational processes. This individual will be responsible for optimizing the contribution of the team through coaching, counseling and implements workable solutions to business issues/problems. This person will conduct work planning, estimation and prioritization to optimize performance of team. The Payroll Supervisor II will manage the business relationships with key business leaders. You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure daily payroll functions are completed in a timely manner and in full compliance with company policies, work-time regulations and labor laws
  • Possess working knowledge of country work time regulations, business policy rules, and local employment contractual obligations required for processing payroll for the countries under their responsibility
  • Identify and drive process improvement opportunities; coordinate planned changes within the organization to ensure deliverables are met and team members follow protocol
  • Approve payroll off-cycle payments and bank files submitted for payment distribution
  • Ensure process documentation audited and updated on frequent basis
  • Support business-wide and payroll-specific initiatives around simplification and standardization
  • Implement quality control measures recommended from quality assurance team
  • Lead team to success through coaching, mentorship, and providing continuous growth opportunities
  • Monitor the team’s performance; complete departmental metric trackers
  • Provide onboarding and continuous training of assigned personnel on operational procedures and policies
  • Promote team collaboration and best use of payroll team member’s capabilities
  • Facilitate regularly scheduled team calls/meetings to update team on business events and changes
  • Prepare work schedules to ensure appropriate coverage
  • Cover for team members in back-up role for vacation and/or high-volume work efforts.
  • Manages third party relationships with vendors assisting business in processing payroll or tax services
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business
  • 5+ years’ experience in Payroll or Accounting
  • 1+ year managing and developing employees
  • Experience with SAP payroll system or other ERP systems

  • Intermediate to Advanced skills of Microsoft Office product suite.
