As part of the Gas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore installs, maintains and upgrades power generation equipment, enabling operators of the world’s energy infrastructure to provide more reliable and affordable energy.
Job Summary
FieldCore is seeking an energetic, committed intern to join our growing organization. As a FieldCore intern you will partner with the cross functional teams to build and execute world-class projects, programs and solutions. You will provide full service support in the areas of building business/market cases for novel solutions with consideration for the growth of our company and ever-changing market dynamics.
The intern hired for a specific position will be expected to be involved in all aspects of the job assignment and to learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routines and procedures. The intern will focus on learning how FieldCore runs, and be expected to gain valuable insight that can further their interest in their chosen career field. In addition to assigned duties in a specific department, the intern will have the opportunity to meet managers and executive members of the team. They should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment, and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of the internship position. You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Live Outage Content Support: Assist in the publication process for outage locations, ensuring timely and accurate communication across the fleet.
- Process & Library Management: Support the maintenance and organization of our internal content repositories (including Tableau and project libraries), helping us keep our data clean and accessible.
- Operational Audits: Learn to conduct Job Information Sheet (JIS) audits, ensuring that our planning standards—specifically for tooling and resource loading—are consistently met.
- Data Reporting: Help extract and summarize key outage data (forecasts, JCEs, and schedules) to assist the team in making informed operational decisions.
- Project Milestones: Assist in tracking outage milestones and resource status in Smartsheet, gaining exposure to project control tools.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in team discussions to suggest process improvements, helping to refine how we capture and utilize outage information.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electronic, or Electrical).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel). Interest or experience in data platforms (Tableau, Smartsheet) is a plus.
- Fluent in English
