Job Summary

The Tooling Facility Director I is mainly responsible for the tooling facility operations of a large sized or hub tool center to facilitate business needs and requests for the customer base. This resource has technical competency, employee management, financial responsibilities, creation of a facility, productivity metrics creation and cost analysis, as well as office administration. Responsible for EHS inside of the facility and supporting the EHS Team on data management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Direct daily operations, with a special focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Lean, and People
  • Develop and lead execution excellence to realize a world class live outage center of excellence and technology incubation, in partnership with value streams and turbine optimization
  • Lead lean implementation and sustainment for a complex tooling fulfillment facility, including standard work, daily management, and tooling standardization
  • Develop strong relationships and collaboration with multiple stakeholders
  • Lead all levels of management and personnel regarding Tooling
  • Direct a large sized or region/global hub tooling facility in all the aspects of the facility operations, define and supervise the logistics contractors, ensuring the contractors compliance with all the contractual obligation, taking care of the timely payment of the invoices
  • Partner with field teams receive tooling demand and ensure on time delivery of tool kits to customer sites
  • Partner with engineering, value streams, and new technology industrialization to develop new tools and consolidate existing tools
  • Work with the Regional Tooling Directors globally to support initiatives that require tooling fulfillment
  • Lead a team of supervisors with direct responsibility for tooling coordinators
  • Identify and drive productivity initiatives, including innovation and digitalization
  • Develop internal talent, with a focus on building and executing individual development plans that build overall capability within the facility
  • Develop a proactive and cost-effective staffing model to deliver on targets
  • Deliver operational leadership and performance to achieve financial goals
  • Drive quality compliance and initiatives across the operation
  • Closely partner with logistics team to optimize logistics costs and deliver on time
  • Closely partner with sourcing to optimize spend and execute strategic purchasing
  • Maintain positive employee relations and resolve employee people issues in a timely manner
  • Drive culture and change management initiatives to support business goals, including tooling ERP, compliance, and adherence to business policies
  • Cultivate, lead, and sustain a rigorous safety program; provide visible leadership on the floor
  • Travel may be required
  • May be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field
  • 11+ years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge
  • 6+ years managing and developing employees
  • 5+ years of specialized/industry experience in supply chain and/or production environment
  • English proficiency required

Compensation and Benefits:
The annual salary range for this position is $139,200 to $229,600.  This is an exempt from overtime position.  FieldCore benefits include insurance (medical, dental, vision, disability, and life), retirement savings, health and Wellness reimbursement, and a bonus or incentive program.  Eligibility for FieldCore benefits is determined under the terms of the applicable benefits plan.
