Job Summary:

The Finance Director I will support the financial requirements of key business operations while taking directions from the CFO. This role will work closely with the Tooling and Sourcing leaders, General Managers, Region HR Managers, and senior members of FieldCore and its affiliate businesses. The Finance Director I has l control and responsibility for all financial aspects of the operations strategy and is expected to analyze figures and implement recommendations based on these findings. The Director will lead teams through month end, year end and annual budgeting. Core responsibilities include financial planning, financial record-keeping/compliance, financial reporting, and the management of financial risks. The role is also responsible for all the Statutory and Tax Filings in the Region.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior teams to grow the businesses formulating strategies and plans
  • Support the Tooling and Sourcing functions
  • Lead and develop finance teams
  • Lead and manage the budgeting/estimating process
  • Compliance activities related to Statutory Audits & filings, and account reconciliations
  • Formulate annual budgets and targets
  • Manage overall control of financial transactions & accountancy matters, including audit systems
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly updates
  • Present annual accounts with recommendations
  • Review accounts and investigation of variances then set recovery plans
  • Manage treasury matters
  • Evaluate and prepare capital expenditure submissions
  • Conduct risk management of financial matters
  • Set annual cost rates and prices for customers
  • Close involvement in commercial negotiations with customers
  • Ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met
  • Ensure financial matters are in accordance with legislation and ethical accounting practices
  • Advise the GM, CFO and executives on financial strategy
  • Participate in financial, human resources and strategic planning
  • Travel may be required
  • Manage and develop employees
  • May be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 11+ years progressive experience and demonstrated success/knowledge
  • 6+ years managing and developing multi-discipline teams, preferably with international reach across multiple service types
  • 5+ years of specialized/industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Fluent and proficient in both spoken and written English 

Desired Characteristics:

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and best practice, computer software for accounting, financial statements and their preparation, payroll reporting and systems
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, teambuilding, and problem-solving skills
  • Very good communication skills, with well-developed verbal, written and presentation ability
  • Knowledge of government legislation and policy as it impacts the role
  • Ability to stay current on changes in legislation and implement any new legal requirements
  • Computer proficient, including specialized software
  • Exceptional analytical, financial, commercial and communication skills
  • Capable of providing sound, practical advice in response to complex and rapidly changing conditions
  • Able to make a positive contribution to a very collegial working environment and work in a self-sufficient manner under the overall authority of the CFO and Region General Manager
  • Ability to handle multiple, competing projects concurrently with a results-oriented focus
Compensation and Benefits:

The annual salary range for this position is $132,800 to $212,400. This is an exempt from overtime position. FieldCore benefits include insurance (medical, dental, vision, disability, and life), retirement savings, health and Wellness reimbursement, and a bonus or incentive program. Eligibility for FieldCore benefits is determined under the terms of the applicable benefits plan.
