Job Summary:

The Payroll Analyst will process payrolls in a timely manner to ensure employees are paid correctly.  Will and update various company databases, complete all required funding, making sure payroll is processed accurately with local labor laws, business policies, collective agreements, employee contracts, and ensure payroll processes/systems are setup correctly to support this objective.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Process specific payrolls by reviewing timecards and entering manual timecards or importing crew timecards and expense templates into the system as needed
  • Educate, train and assist employees with Workforce or EmpCenter and Expense procedures
  • Serve as subject matter expert for country specific payroll compliance
  • Key employee direct deposits, audit expenses, and process special payments such as meal allowances, bonuses, merit increases, and cash advances
  • Reviews forms, templates and letters for compliance with regulations
  • Liaise with third party payroll providers to resolve payroll challenges
  • Review payroll registers (e.g. earnings, deductions, taxes, ER cost) for accuracy and completeness before payroll funding
  • Manage the cash advance process and conduct account reconciliation with the finance team
  • Assist the Billing team with corrections of timecards and expenses
  • Understand the Shadow Payroll concept and report the monthly payroll wages for processing
  • Process garnishments and court orders which include child support, tax levies, bankruptcy orders, student loans, and wage assignments
  • Manage multiple reports and provide to management as needed
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely, effective manner
  • Identify areas of quality improvement
  • Assist in deployment of new policies and processes to assigned employee population
  • Validate the consistency and integrity of data via random audits
  • Work with team to resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
  • Document standard operating procedures for specific country
  • Lead effort to verify and track resolution of defects identified in payroll process and output
  • Identify and Execute continuous improvement
  • Travel may be required

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience in Payroll or Accounting
  • Ability to work independently with minimal managerial supervision
  • Demonstrated understanding of payroll operations and audit management concepts
  • Advanced knowledge of written and digital project management tools
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP/ SF Modules
  • Knowledge of advanced Payroll Operations
  • Advanced analytical skills
  • English proficiency required
