As part of the Gas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore installs, maintains and upgrades power generation equipment, enabling operators of the world’s energy infrastructure to provide more reliable and affordable energy.

Job Summary:

The Tooling Digital Operations Manager I supports the development, management, and implementation of FieldCore’s Tooling Centers digital programs across all regions. Works cross-functionally within GE and/or FieldCore to define requirements of tooling fulfillment software tools. Coordinates deployment of devices, software, training, and ensures a feedback loop exists for continuous improvement from the tooling center employee to the software developers and training department. Supports new innovations to drive automation and productivity. Collaborates with other functions globally to ensure effective results.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the ETM industrialization across the FC regions
  • Provide global cohesion to regional Tooling Centers IT leads
  • Drive the analysis and the definition of requirements for the development of Tooling Centers IT tools and applications
  • Industrialize new Tooling Centers IT Innovations (Merged/virtual reality, visual management dashboards, et) to all regions to drive progress and efficiency
  • Create standardization of processes and digital automation across FC regions
  • Support the change management for the implementation of new Tooling Centers IT tools, applications, and best practices within FieldCore globally, including global strategy, deployment, communication, training, and post go live support
  • Participate in and coordinate FC’s involvement in System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Identify systematic technical issues across the FC regions
  • Create and drive a continuous improvement process between FC tooling employees and FC software developers
  • Develop, track, and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Tooling Leadership team
  • Create Business Requirements Document as the official handover from Operations to IT developers
  • Lead the DOS team and maintain a strategy focused on customer feedback
  • Lead and track monthly tooling centers operations audits
  • Create training material for ETM new releases and ensure the proper training is provided to all the users
  • Be the Main Point of Contact between tooling Operations and SF IT project manager
  • Work independently as well as leading a global team virtually
  • Develop, motivate, and mentor direct report employees
  • Travel may be required
  • May be assigned other duties to help proactively drive the FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core valu

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • 7+ years in either tooling centers operations or information systems development, or 5-8 years of experience in field services or information systems roles in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years managing and developing employees
  • 2+ years of experience with development and implementation of SAP solutions.
  • 2+ years of experience with Salesforce Solutions
  • English proficiency required
  • Value Stream Mapping creation is a must

Compensation and Benefits:


The annual salary range for this position is $76,300 to $122,100.  This is an exempt from overtime position.  FieldCore benefits include insurance (medical, dental, vision, disability, and life), retirement savings, health and Wellness reimbursement, and a bonus or incentive program.  Eligibility for FieldCore benefits is determined under the terms of the applicable benefits plan.
