As part of the Gas Power One Field Services team, FieldCore installs, maintains, and upgrades power generation equipment, enabling operators of the world’s energy infrastructure to provide more reliable and affordable energy.
Job Summary:
The Technical Field Instructor III will provide on-site Steam Turbine technical training to customer-owned utility and industrial power plants with turbine maintenance, operations, and generator maintenance either domestic or international locations. Responsible for providing OEM training on the technical skills for the engineer to operate confidently and independently for FieldCore. The position will receive training at the GE Learning Center and at customer locations globally. Will also assist with class fulfillment, manage training classes, oversee, and maintain all necessary training manual inventories, arrange student logistic, and implement and reconcile the financial processes of all global training facilities. You may be assigned other duties to help proactively drive our FieldCore vision and align with our organization’s core values.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Deliver training for customer participants focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost as enabler of One Field Services business priorities.
Support the design, development, updating and delivery of training for steam turbine, generators and/or combined cycle installation, operation, maintenance and/or repair including preparation of classroom, trouble shooting, maintenance and repair of required equipment.
Use participants reaction and learning data to recommend areas for instructor improvement, instructional method, curriculum, or other changes.
Support as subject matter expert in the technology and liaise with other teams in the creation or modification of training content, delivery methods and other continuous improvement projects.
Maintain accurate training records, update course materials, and evaluate student performance.
Ability and willingness to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments.

Significant travel may be required to deliver courses at customer sites.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical / scientific fields (or at least 7 years of equivalent professional experience in the relevant technology in installations, operations, maintenance and/or repairs).
Minimum of 5 years of field service or engineering experience in relevant technology related to installation, operation, maintenance, or repairs.
Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
Desired Characteristics:
Previous technical instructor or adult learning delivery experience.
Adult Learning Strategies Certification
Energy field service, field engineering, or installation and commissioning of GE Steam turbines, Operations and Maintenance
Demonstrated leadership, organizational and planning skills
Proven ability and track record to produce and deliver results
Strong computer skills with Word, Excel, and Power Point
Familiar with Steam turbine, controls, or mechanical operation, and control philosophies
Self-starter with proven experience managing multiple tasks
Initiative to learn and apply state-of-the-art technology / concepts in the day-to-day requirements of this position
Strong analytical skills working independently and in a team
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to convey technical concepts to business, technical/technical writing personnel and presentation skills to an audience with a wide range of experience levels.
