Description

FieldCore, part of GE Vernova is looking for engaged and driven individual with a passion for engineering to join our Value Stream Operations Team for a 6-month internship based from our 5th Settlement area offices in Cairo.
 
This opportunity is open to recent graduates or current students who will be returning to their in-class studies upon the completion of the internship with permission from the University.

Let’s talk about the role!
 
As the Value Stream Operations Intern you will work under the Guidance of Value Stream Operations Managers to drive lean throughout the end-to-end value-creating process. You will assist with a variety of event and outage related activities ranging from planning to closeout and continuous improvement.
 
How you will make the difference:
 
  • Undergo training to learn the fundamentals of the Turbines and Generators product lines.
  • Learn the fundamentals of project management, scheduling, resource loading, and cost control to support the Value Stream Team during event planning.
  • Manage and continuously improve the end-end value stream for assigned technologies and/or product lines.
  • Implement and manage the improvement of outage to achieve consistent Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost (SQDC) outcomes.
  • Execute updates to standards in different systems and documents.
  • Execute projects and initiatives for value stream problems by searching across regions, across GE businesses, and industry at large.
  • Drive accountability to realize improvements from all supporting organizations by following up to ensure implementation and realized value stream improvement.
 
About you:
 
  • You will be a current student of Engineering (Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Software, Systems).
