Contract Instrumentation & Controls Technician, ( 23-7692)
Description
FieldCore is looking for UK based contract Instrumentation & Controls Technicians to work with our Craft team on an assignment-to-assignment basis.
Let’s Talk about the Role
As the Instrumentation & Controls Technician you will disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, calibrate, test, and perform periodic maintenance of field instruments, equipment systems and controls. You will evaluate and determine necessary modification, perform complex repairs or removal of instruments or devices needing overhaul during scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting while performing unscheduled work.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Record and report abnormal function or out of tolerance conditions of equipment and initiate corrective action and documentation
- Provide documents daily record of inspection, maintenance activity, repair and other work performed within approved guidelines and procedures.
- Reinstall, test, evaluate, calibrate, and maintain instruments or devices upon completion of repairs.
- Communicate with customer staff in the calibration, repair, and operation of equipment as necessary.
- Perform work in accordance with approved equipment, calibration, maintenance, and safety procedures.
Special Role Requirements:
- Able to travel extensively to and from projects and various field assignments.
- Willing to work holidays, weekends and overtime as required by field assignments.
Required Qualifications & Experience
You will be an experienced technician skilled in instrumentation, controls, installation, calibration as well as maintenance and repairs of equipment. It will be beneficial if you:
- Can demonstrate an understanding of physical standards of mass, temperature flow and pressure.
- Have working knowledge of computers.
- Are able to read and work from blueprints, schematic diagrams and specification manuals.
