The Opportunity  

The Regional Supply Chain team provides seamless support to access more foods through FANO central sourcing programs by increasing education and access with the network, responding to network food needs and requests, and supporting simplified processes across all “order to pay” steps using Feeding America technology platforms and teams for Product purchases, Product Donations, Transportation, Order Processing, Invoicing, Finance and Agri-Food. The Manager of Regional Supply Chain Team leads one of the regional teams and is responsible for developing and coaching the team members and prioritizing work. In addition, the Manager of Regional Supply Chain Team will support integration of work processes for the team and process standardization and improvement and cross training for his/her/their Supply Chain region team. The Manger, Regional Supply Chain team will support Region Team goals, track KPIs, and help lead team communication and ensure processes are used consistently.

This is a remote position that must be within the Eastern Region of the United States. Frequent travel (up to 30%) to other parts of the United States, including Chicago (for annual all-staff meetings), are a requirement of the position. Eligible candidates must live in any of the regional states: ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT, NY, PA, JH, DE, MD, DC, VA, WV, NC, SC, GA, AL, MS, and FL.

Compensation
Here at Feeding America national organization, equality is central to our mission and is an integral part of our compensation policies and structures. As such, we maintain transparent salary ranges and clearly defined practices for how our team, including new hire salary offers, moves through these ranges. You can expect us to offer the best salary up front based on these clearly defined pay practices with little room for negotiation. We make exceptions for highly experienced (multiple years of at-level experience) new hires in accordance with our pay practices. Once hired, employees have the opportunity to progress through salary ranges via regular merit increases and step promotions. 

Salary Range: $88,000 - $93,000 Based on Experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Leads one of the regional Supply Chain teams made up of specialists and coordinators and is responsible for developing and coaching the team members and prioritizing work and managing annual goal setting, feedback and performance management cycles. Supports direct reports through regular individual one-to-one meetings to drive awareness of individual performance, development of strengths and opportunities, and career management. Conducts regular team meetings, keeping Regional Supply Chain Team apprised of Objectives Measures and Activities performance and key communications throughout the year.
  • Continuously monitors connections back to functional Supply Chain teams in Product purchases, Product Donations, Transportation, Order Processing, Invoicing, Finance and Agri-Food ensuring alignment to functional strategies.   • Supports the Regional Supply Chain Team organization by employing continuous improvement of processes and programs.
  • Together with other Regional Supply Chain leaders, supports collaborative efforts, setting strategy and goals for the Regional Supply Chain team and translating goals into Regional Team and individual goals and KPIs.
  • Acts as first level of escalation for issues related to systems, transportation, invoicing, and billing, owning decision-making for assigned region. Identifies issues, develops resolutions, and implements corrective actions cross functionally as appropriate with all aspects of Supply Chain transactions.
  • Provides comprehensive customer service to members, donors, vendors, transportation carriers and internal stakeholders. This includes communication regarding logistics (shipping, order confirmation, arranging transport with carriers, etc.), order tracking & disbursement, and tracking and entering accounting data as needed, supports regular regional network member calls to ascertain service levels and solicit ideas for service improvements.
  • Works cross functionally and collaboratively with ALL FANO departments to execute the acquisition and distribution of procured goods to FA Network Partners.
  • Assists Technology Department with the definition of program business requirements, testing and feedback on Supply Chain technology platforms.
  • Leads in accordance with FANO Policies.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
  • Relevant experience or 4 years’ customer service experience
  • Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) & Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Competencies, Experience and Certifications:
