Federal Staffing Resources is seeking a licensed Dietician to support the Northwest Ohio Developmental Center, a state-operated facility providing care to individuals with developmental disabilities. This role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to make a direct impact on patient health outcomes through clinical nutrition and interdisciplinary collaboration.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, implement, and evaluate regular, modified, and therapeutic diets in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments through chart reviews, staff collaboration, and patient interaction
- Maintain accurate and timely dietary documentation, including patient charts, treatment plans, and reports
- Provide nutrition education and training to patients and facility staff
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support individualized treatment plans
- Participate in facility meetings and committees to enhance nutrition-focused care
Education & Certification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field
- Active Dietician License (Ohio Board of Dietetics)
- Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Experience:
- Prior experience in a healthcare or clinical setting preferred
Key Skills & Competencies
- Clinical knowledge of nutrition and dietetics practices
- Ability to interpret technical and medical information
- Strong communication and counseling skills
- Experience with documentation, reporting, and data management
- Ability to train staff and educate patients effectively
Work Schedule
- Flexible scheduling between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Part-time/PRN: 8–30 hours per week (24-hour average)
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This role may require:
- Standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 60+ lbs occasionally)
- Exposure to clinical environments, including patients with infectious conditions or behavioral challenges
- Use of appropriate protective equipment when required
