- Monday-Friday days only
- Civilian position supporting military healthcare

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) - Referral Management Job Overview:
- Maintains current nursing license and documentation of continuing education credits.
- Process patient specialty care referrals, in accordance with current business practices
- Disposition referrals in accordance with current business practices
- Provide MHS Genesis secure messaging services as required
- Research, to include but not limited to claims, clinical history, and chart notes
- Correct referral processing errors as needed
- Answer patient inquiries regarding referral statuses
- Close expired referrals as directed
- Request chart notes as needed
- Utilize resources provided in order to resolve referrals and calls
- Conduct outbound calls as required
- Handle each call received, providing a resolution for the customer
- Critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
- Additional duties as required.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) - Referral Management Job Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited.
- License must be valid and unrestricted. Contract personnel shall be in good standing, and under no clinical restrictions, with the licensure boards in all jurisdictions in which a license is held or has been held within the last ten (10) years.
- Shall have knowledge, skills and computer literacy to interpret and apply medical care criteria, such as, but not limited to, InterQual or Milliman Ambulatory Care Guidelines.
- Full-time employment in nursing for the last 12 months is required.
- General working knowledge of word processing, and Microsoft applications (including Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook).
- General medical ethics, telephone etiquette, written/verbal/electronic communication, and customer service skills.
- Composite Health Care Systems (CHCS), Military Health System (MHS) Genesis, Tricare, and other military health care system knowledge.
- Referral management experience.
- Critical thinking skills and attention to detail.
