Position Overview
The Medical Appointment Clerk manages patient scheduling and supports clinic flow in a high-volume military medical setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments using MHS GENESIS
- Verify eligibility through DEERS
- Answer patient calls and provide appointment assistance
- Maintain clinic schedules and update records
- Coordinate with providers and clinic staff
- Ensure accurate documentation
Requirements & Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- 6–12 months medical office experience
- Typing speed of 50 WPM
- Experience with scheduling systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MHS GENESIS
- Military healthcare experience
