Frisco Bowl Events Intern Job Description – Fall 2026
THIS IS AN IN-PERSON POSITION
All internships for the Frisco Bowl are unpaid internships and must be used to receive college credit from an accredited university. The internship allows the individual to gain valuable experience with a professional organization for their future in the sports, entertainment, and marketing industry. All candidate hours can be flexible to accommodate your school and/or work schedule. Some nights and weekends may be required.
The Frisco Bowl is looking for an Events Intern to assist with the planning and preparation of events for bowl game activities. The intern will report to the Executive Director and assist with day-to-day objectives of the bowl game. The internship will take place from September to December 2026, and will include support for both the Frisco Bowl on December 23, 2026 and our additional bowl game on December 15, 2026.
What you’ll do:
- Assist in the final preparations for the Frisco Bowl Online Charity Auction (Sept 2026).
- Provide support and recap of recently held Frisco Bowl events.
- Receive exposure to the management of events and logistical needs including, but not limited to, entertainment, catering, décor, signage, audio/visual, gifts, volunteers, guest services, and events spaces.
- Assist with researching, ordering and managing inventory of promotional items.
- Develop Players Lounge hosting and management plans for December 2026.
- Develop Coaches Hospitality Lounge hosting and management plans for December 2026.
- Assist in the development and direction of 2026 bowl week events including, but not limited to, Team Arrival Dinner, Player Gifting, Kids Day Out, Ladies Day Out, Joint Team Event, Combined Team Dinner, Charity & Hospital Visits, VIP Reception, Fan Fest and Pre-Game Party.
- Help manage and lead our group of bowl week interns.
- Assist with game day operations and in-game presentations.
- Provide assistance to the Events Coordinator.
You are:
- Organized, resourceful, and passionate student.
- A self-starter and have a can-do attitude.
- Capable of coordinating multiple projects simultaneously and working under pressure to ensure execution of events.
- Required to be able to work a flexible schedule based on event schedule, including select nights, weekends, and non-traditional business hours.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be an active college student. Preferably pursuing a degree and/or career in Sports Management or Event Planning/Hospitality.
- Must receive college credit for internship with our company.
Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week, primarily at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, TX. Hours will increase closer to the bowl game.
- Excellent interpersonal plus verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Canva are required.
- Interest in college athletics/sports.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds.
