Position Overview:
The Information Technology Manager establishes the IT strategy and mission for the enterprise. The manager is responsible for aligning the technology vision with the overall business strategy to increase efficiency and overall organizational effectiveness while also providing a secure and safe IT infrastructure.
Essential Functions:
Roles and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Oversees IT needs for office staff including helpdesk, computer purchases, and software licenses.
- Provides day-to-day prioritization and delivery of support to end users.
- Works closely with technology vendor and contractor relationships (General Informatics) on day-to-day support and maintenance specifically areas such as
- Desktop patching
- Desktop application support
- Server patching
- Server support
- Backup and replication management
- Print, scan and other peripheral device management
- Provide IT support including pre-event day activities for events at Toyota Stadium including FC Dallas home matches, international matches, college football games, concerts, and other events.
- Work with MLS IT office to ensure compliance with League requirements and represent FC Dallas on League IT calls and meetings.
- Defines, develops, and communicates IT procurement, security, and hardware/software policies and procedures alongside management.
- Provide a bi-weekly report to management regarding:
- Up time
- Stability
- Security
- Backup and replication management
- Manages and controls the department budget and all department expenditures.
- Develops and provides the strategic vision for the organization’s technology.
- Accepts responsibility to understand all aspects of the enterprise to appropriately align our technology resources to achieve organizational goals. Plans, organizes, and helps to define an organizational support process that continually balances staff and business priorities.
- Researches and keeps up to date on all IT advancements and options; working closely with business leadership to ensure compliance and use of current software and technology.

Education, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required – Information Technology or related field preferred.
- 5+ years related experience preferred.
- Management experience preferred.
- Strong technical and non-technical communication skills.
- Thorough technical knowledge of network design.
Supervisory Responsibility:
Will supervise TPA and/or IT staff.
Physical Demands:
This position requires extended viewing of a computer screen and sitting for extended periods. The individual must be able to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 30 pounds, open file cabinets, bend or stand, and use a stepstool as necessary.
Travel:
No regular travel is expected for this position. There may be occasional travel for an out-of-town business meeting, training, seminar, or company event.
