Description

The role takes full responsibility for the production and logistics of photographic shoots for editorial features and campaigns Farfetch site and offsite, including the negotiation and booking of all members of the creative teams for shoots, models and talent where appropriate.

You will join a progressive and innovative team that creates and delivers compelling weekly content, developing original and fresh ideas that are inspirational, directional and that engage the Farfetch audience.

What You’ll do:

Working closely with the Creative and Editorial team, you will support the creative vision and help bring to life the briefs provided by stakeholders on the Editorial and Brand team.  You will also manage the production of weekly photographic content, to include:

  • Maintaining an excellent knowledge of contacts with creative teams working within the fashion industry, including agencies representing them and at the highest level internationally
  • Development of relationships to maintain a strong database of contacts at talent publicists internationally
  • Assessment of briefs provided by stakeholders to confirm objectives, budget, and timelines for photographic projects before beginning production
  • Critical evaluation of briefs and troubleshooting of ideas to help ensure projects are achievable
  • Liaison with agents, clients, and artists on all production related topics including travel arrangements and logistics (transport, accommodation, etc)
  • Creation and management of the production estimates and budget for each photographic project
  • Management of the production schedule of each photographic project, including pre-production and post-production elements
  • Optioning and negotiation of the best possible fees for all freelance contributors for photographic shoot projects
  • Overseeing all suppliers to ensure execution of requirements as well as tracking of expenses, invoices and legal documents where relevant
  • Negotiation and management of appropriate usage rights for all original photographic imagery produced
  • Working with external film production teams to oversee and manage the production of film projects to brief (where required)
  • Manage the photographic shoot budget within the overall annual Editorial & Design budget with guidance from the Editorial Director and Editor at Large

Who You Are:

  • Extensive experience and expertise in photographic shoot production for fashion, at the highest level
  • Excellent knowledge of and contacts within the market with regards to photographers, stylists, set designers, hair & make-up artists, model agencies and celebrity
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • A solution focussed approach with the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Detail oriented and well-organised
  • Ability to manage budgets
  • Experience in the luxury fashion market at either a fashion publication or e-commerce website
  • A good understanding of fashion and photographic trends/fashion brands
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team, listening and contributing effectively
