The role:

This is an exciting new role for a strong Finance professional to support the continued evolution of planning and analysis to aid decision making and alignment of Strategy across the Group. This is a hugely varied role working across Finance and the business to develop and improve our global group budget, forecasting and long-term strategic processes as well as manage our Budget, Forecast and Quarterly Board reporting.

This role would suit someone who loves pulling lots of sources of information together into a cohesive and easily digestible story. They would enjoy planning large scale processes and seeing them through to delivery without sweating the possibility of the course being diverted. They will be highly solution orientated and an expert at adapting to an ambiguous and changing environment. This would be a perfect role for someone looking at a hybrid between Commercial Finance and Reporting to gain experience across both disciplines.

What you'll do:
  • Own the month/quarter end, budget and forecasting processes from an FP&A standpoint bringing together all relevant stakeholders across Finance and the business to delivery
  • Evolve the financial planning process to determine the profit & loss, balance sheet and cashflow plans requirements for the business, ensuring the right tools are developed to deliver
  • Support on the medium/long term Group planning strategy to give clear direction to Business Units and functions that achieve our Group goals and Strategy, linking the Strategic plan with our financial objectives
  • Develop and deliver the story for the Group given multiple inputs across all business units and disciples that are easily digestible by Exec and Board members
  • Support the reporting team on delivery of analysis for external quarterly reporting purposes e.g. CFO binder and audit analysis
  • Business partner the Group support functions and international teams
  • Own consistent reporting and analysis of Group SG&A and headcount
  • Provide strong leadership to the FP&A team, supporting and developing the team to deliver the teams goals
  • Partner with the wider Finance team to deliver the goals of the Farfetch finance organisation

Who you are:
  • A qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with considerable PQE
  • Experience in pulling together consolidated performance across a multi-pronged business into a cohesive strategy
  • You are an expert in excel (vlookups, Pivots) with AX and SAP knowledge advantageous
  • Experience in the technology and e-Commerce industries advantageous
  • You have strong commercial awareness and business acumen
  • You can operate in ambiguous and changing situations to deliver on the right results
  • You can self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment with competing deadlines
  • You are proactive, enthusiastic, ambitious and passionate with attention to detail
  • You are a strong team player with the ability to interact with those outside of the Finance teams to deliver preferred outcomes
