The role:

This is a completely new role the pricing team as Farfetch is looking to overhaul how we think about delivery strategy and proposition to our customers. To do so, we need someone who thrives at solving complex, ambiguous problems in a fast-paced environment balancing tactical needs whilst driving strategically for a long term solution. You will work closely with the Pricing Manager and delivery teams to ensure that we are maximizing the ROI from our significant investment in customer delivery while still amazing customers. You will be responsible for ensuring investment is optimized across our market and customer portfolio, setting the vision and strategy and then getting to work testing, validating hypotheses and iterating.

Your opportunities to develop range from working directly with data engineers and developers to grow technically, as well as working alongside pricing, marketing, operations and finance to grow commercially.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop a scalable plan to understand the importance of delivery fees/proposition to our customers and how the Farfetch service compares to competitors
  • Design and deliver a best-in-class framework for allocation and ROI measurement of shipping investment against the customer priorities
  • Participate in strategic and tactical delivery planning discussions, proposing and delivering solutions to help the business meet its short and long term goals
  • Work closely with the delivery operations team to ensure new delivery propositions are communicated and priced appropriately in order to maximise the benefit for our customers
  • Execute a wide range of tests to measure the incrementality and ROI of different delivery pricing models and propositions, defining success parameters and working with the engineering and data science teams to execute and measure results
  • Plan and track our $ tens-of-millions delivery income budget, working closely with Finance to identify and mitigate any shortfalls and re-invest overachievement throughout the year


Who you are:

Essential

  • You have experience working as a technical or commercial analyst, either in-house or as a consultant
  • You have worked in an e-commerce or luxury fashion environment, either in-house or as a consultant
  • You have experience of delivering multiple end-to-end projects
  • You hold a Bachelors degree in a quantitative field from a top-tier university
  • You have a working knowledge of SQL
  • You are detail-oriented with a demonstrably high standard for data accuracy and documentation
  • Self-driven with a willingness to ‘roll up your sleeves’
  • You are a strong communicator regardless of format (email, documentation, presentation, discussion)
  • You are able to collaborate with both commercial and technical stakeholders (technical product managers, development leads)
  • Comfortable managing stakeholder expectations and consistently deliver on-time

Desirable

  • Experience in logistics, delivery or shipping proposition analysis/strategy
  • Experience with BigQuery
  • Experience with data visualisation tools, preferably Looker; experience rolling out new projects in Looker with LookML a bonus
