As a key driver of the company’s future, the Commercial team has grown extensively over the last 3 years and collaborates with almost every team across the business.

The Role


Our Commercial team is looking for a unique individual to build the BI structure for our department, taking our data and insights, and turning them into systemic processes, tools, and reporting. You will work with the various technology teams in order to take our BI to the best in class system.


This person will bring heavy Analytics, Information System and Data Science skillset to the team, while embracing the “art” of our fashion industry.

What you’ll do


  • You will develop the BI structure for the Commercial Planning and Analytics team:
    • Designing and developing new methodologies for mining data
    • Developing tools for visualisation, storytelling and reporting
    • identifying opportunities to optimise data processing, automation and interpretation
    • Prioritising your initiatives based on time saved and value to the business
    • Implementing robust methodologies with checks to ensure high data quality



  • You will work in the Commercial Planning and Analytics team, bringing System Information and BI skillset:
    • Building with the Planning team tool and methodology to develop the supply and demand planning
    • Carrying analysis to answer critical key stakeholders questions, using SQL and a range of tools/resources (e.g. Excel, Looker) and turning them into easily digestible formats (e.g. Looker dashboards, PowerPoint, email)
    • Collaborating with other Commercial teams to maintain a flow of information crystal clear between functions


  • Participate to key projects to strengthen the information backbone of Farfetch
    • Collaborating with Farfetch’s tech teams to scale your projects and bring them to life cross-functionally
    • Being a voice of the Commercial team among the tech teams
    • Insuring and developing processes to create synergy and efficiency for the business
Who you are
  • You have an extensive experience in Information System, BI Technology,
  • with a commercial experience (consulting or analytics).
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • You have technical skills for processing and analysing large amounts of
  • data:
  • - Advanced Excel (required) plus advanced SQL (required), with experience pulling/pushing data via API or by FTP
  • - Databases server, data warehouses and data processing technologies (Hadoop, Google BigQuery and DataLab)
  • - Data visualization and exploration tools with a focus on Looker (preferred)
  • - You have experience using the software development tools GitHub/Lab and JIRA
  • - R, Python (preferred)
  • You have a flexible, approachable attitude with good problem-solving skills
  • - Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and scoping work with keen attention to detail
  • - Comfortable working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • An understanding of retail / fashion / luxury is a bonus
