Position Summary: The Senior Accountant will perform assigned duties within the financial reporting, accounts payable, patient accounts receivable, payroll, and banking and cash functions and prepare financial schedules and analysis to track the organization’s operations, patient and provider activities, assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books and prepares month-end reconciliations for Cash, Prepaid Insurance, Prepaid Expense, Fixed Assets, and other similar accounts.
  • Maintains the general ledger.
  • Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements for review by management.
  • Reviews accounts payable invoices, assigns vendor numbers and similar identifying data, verifies invoice information and payment of invoices and confirms correct accounting codes are used and verifies that all information is entered accurately. Issues payments to vendors as approved. Validates and reconciles payroll data from the Company’s vendor (ADP) and enters payroll information into the General Ledger.
  • Calculates Accrued Payroll and other accrued accounts each month-end.
  • Reviews real estate leases and applies proper accounting treatment.
  • Partners with other departments to ensure reimbursement of tenant improvements is accurate and timely.
  • Processes routine monthly payments as approved.
  • Reconciles bank accounts at least weekly and verifies deposits.
  • Works with the Company’s private equity owners to prepare analysis or schedules.
  • Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
  • Assists Management in the preparation of the Annual Budget.
  • Files required regulatory and tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies, as directed.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ accounting experience required.
  • CPA or CMA preferred
  • Proficient in Excel, Pivot Tables and Microsoft Office.
Work Environment and Conditions:
  • Continually required to sit, utilize hand, and finger dexterity, talk, and hear.
  • Work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
  • Frequently working at a desk in front of a computer.
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.

Annual Salary Range: $70,000 - $100,000
