    • Annual compensation: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00

Position Overview: The IT Support Specialist is an integral part of the Family Care Center IT team, providing essential support to our users and maintaining the smooth operation of our computer systems. This role is responsible for onboarding new users, ordering IT equipment, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting with network management, and ensuring all IT resources are available and functioning optimally.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provides prompt and efficient technical assistance to users experiencing difficulties with computer systems, including hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.
  • Handles support queries via phone, email, and in-person visits. Trains users on new systems, software, and best practices for computer usage.
  • Order equipment necessary to support users.
  • Performs regular checks on network and data security. Installs, configure, and update software and hardware.
  • Monitors system performance and troubleshoot issues. Manages backups and disaster recovery plans in collaboration with IT Director.
  • Assist in managing local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN).
  • Maintains detailed records of user requests, resolved issues, and ongoing maintenance tasks.

 

Other Duties:

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Three years’ experience in IT support required.
  • Proficient in latest technology for IT systems. Microsoft certification preferred.

Work Environment and Conditions:  

  • Continually required to sit; continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity; continually required to talk or hear.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move more than 15 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception and ability to adjust or focus.
