- Hourly Compensation: $27.00 - $31.00
Position Overview: The Specialty Services Lead is responsible for overseeing staffing for the Care Coordinator and Specialty Services teams, ensuring adequate team coverage in partnership with TMS Operations and Specialty Services Managers. In addition, this role is a critical component of TMS and Specialty Services operations and is responsible for performing educational consultations to interested patients, qualifying them for insurance coverage, obtaining and maintaining authorizations, and working with internal and external clinicians to ensure patient collaboration of care. Under the direction of the TMS and Specialty Services Managers, the Specialty Services Lead will be a partner in the building and branding of our TMS and Specialty Services programs. The Specialty Services Lead will work cross-functionally to ensure adaptation and collaboration of new processes and training.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Evaluates and supports daily TMS Care Coordinator and Specialty Services Lead staffing needs. Reassigns Coordinators as needed to ensure adequate coverage within region and/or state.
- Trains and mentors TMS Care Coordinators and Specialty Services Leads in collaboration with TMS Operations and Specialty Services Managers.
- Complete prior authorization forms for all Specialty Services, including TMS, IOP and Psych Testing, and ensures prompt insurance follow up.
- Assists in scheduling Peer to Peer Reviews with insurance companies and internal Psychiatrists or appropriate clinicians.
- Writes and follows-up on all insurance appeal letters.
- Collaborates with Benefits Investigator/Cost Estimation Team to understand and relay findings to patients. Works with patients on financing options when applicable (insurance and self-pay).
- Acts as patient liaison throughout the journey from consultation/Intake to program start. Provide consistent communication with patients so they understand where they are in the insurance approval process.
- Schedules patients’ mappings and Specialty Services treatments with applicable clinicians.

Travel
- 95% of duties will be in clinics within a single metropolitan area (region). Less than 5% travel outside the region.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred.
- Two years’ experience in healthcare-related field with 6 months TMS Care Coordinator experience required. Mental Health or Medical Assistant experience preferred.
- TMS training certification and current drivers license required.
- Current BLS preferred.
