- Hourly Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 Depending on Experience
Position Overview: The Patient Collections Specialist is responsible for handling inbound and outbound patient phone calls in an effort to resolve outstanding balances. This position also reviews and mails patient statements, sets up payment plans, and proposes accounts for bad debt.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all functions related to the collection of payment on patient accounts.
- Communicates directly with patients regarding their financial responsibility for services.
- Handles inbound and outbound phone calls from internal and external customers, answers questions, take payments and resolves issues.
Supervisory or Managerial Responsibility:
- None
Other Duties:
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred.
- One year of clerical experience in a health care setting preferred. Experience in a call center like environment preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.
