The Role
The Global Finance Controller will serve as a critical leadership partner to the CFO, ensuring financial execution, operational discipline, and scalable accounting infrastructure across the organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will oversee global financial operations, including accounting, consolidation, reporting, client billing and accounts receivable, and statutory compliance across 20+ international entities. The Global Finance Controller will play a central role in strengthening financial integrity, optimizing quote to cash processes, and supporting the company’s continued global growth.

What You'll Do:
- Lead the global month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all entities are closed accurately and on time.
- Lead standardization of accounting practices across regions while balancing local statutory requirements.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger across 20+ international subsidiaries.
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and intercompany eliminations.
- Continuously improve and document close processes to shorten cycle time and enhance accuracy.
- Oversee client billing processes, ensuring invoices are accurate, timely, and aligned with contract terms.
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and legal teams to ensure revenue recognition policies are applied correctly.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging and drive collection initiatives to optimize cash flow.
- Implement process automation and system improvements to reduce billing and revenue errors.
- Identify opportunities to streamline AP processes and enhance payment processes and governance
- Ensure compliance with local statutory accounting requirements and global accounting policies.
- Maintain policies and procedures to support operational consistency and scalability.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing global accounting and finance operations team.
- Collaborate with FP&A, Legal, HR, and regional business leaders to support strategic initiatives and operational decision-making.
About You:
- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven success managing multi-entity accounting operations in a global or high-growth environment.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., JDE, Salesforce).
- Strong experience with client billing, AR/AP, and month-end close.
- Proven ability to lead financial transformation in fast-paced environments, including systems implementation, team scaling, and operational automation.
- Skilled in leading and developing global finance teams, with a focus on accountability, empowerment, and continuous learning.
- Demonstrated success partnering cross-functionally to enable growth, transformation, and efficiency.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and making decisions in dynamic, rapidly evolving environments.
- CPA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent professional qualification strongly preferred.
