Senior Wireless Software Engineer
Responsibilities include:

  • Involved in the development and sustaining support of the leading-edge Wi-Fi solutions
  • Design and development of applications running on Linux OS with focus on the real time embedded programming and Wireless LAN application
  • Participate in the design, implementation, testing, maintenance, enhancement, and support of complex software modules
  • Also participate in maintaining the existing products and provide engineering support to the customer
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skill of the embedded Linux platform
  • Take ownership of software modules, provide work estimates, write all the necessary design documents, and implement or enhance them
  • Actively participate to the specifications and other technical documentation reviews to determine software engineering requirements
  • Write and execute the component, module, subsystem, and system test procedures
  • Participate to design and code reviews and provide feedback to your peers, mentor junior developers
  • Work with cross functional teams in a collaborative work environment; interacting with peers, management, sales

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or Computer Science
  • Must have strong technical background in software development, with a focus on real time embedded system and data communication
  • Solid verbal and written communications skills
  • Positive attitude, team player
  • Strong knowledge of real time embedded Linux operating system
  • Strong knowledge of wireless protocols, i.e. WiFi 802.11, Bluetooth Low Engery (BLE), Zigbee and Thread Stacks
  • Exposure to IoT application development using GATT, BLE mesh and Thread border gateway
  • Strong knowledge of C, C++ and Python programming language
  • Extensive experience developing real time embedded application under Linux
  • Good working experience developing multi-threaded applications for Linux
  • Strong hands-on experience with Linux, Linux container technologies and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of networking technologies and concepts, LAN switching, routing, Ethernet and IP
  • Experience with different IoT chipsets, initial bring-up, common peripherals (UART, SPI, I2C, wireless connectivity stacks) and wireless coexistence are plus
  • Strong scripting skills (Bash)
  • Hands-on experience with GIT and GitHub

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with agile development process
  • Familiar with IEEE standards for WiFi and LAN
  • Familiarity with Jira, Aha or similar tool
  • Experience working with RF device and test equipment such as signal generators and spectrum analyzers
