SR HARDWARE ENGINEER
Digital Hardware Design Engineer
Be part of a small team of highly skilled designers in the systems development of next generation cutting edge networking products, responsible for board design - including specification, board bring up, debug, test, and release to production.
Directly responsible for design and development of world class networking products via ODM engagement. Operate collaboratively within a team of system designers and subject matter experts, imparting experience and cultivating skills. Provide technical leadership and coordinate project deliverables with other team leads. Work closely with marketing goals and translate them into hardware requirements. Develop hardware specification documentation, oversee schematic development and layout of the printed circuit board, and perform critical component selection based on performance, cost, and feature tradeoffs. Engage in bring-up and debug, working hands-on with hardware in the lab. Define and develop hardware test plans to ensure that the hardware meets performance and functional requirements. Work closely with software and software test leads to ensure the design meets all system and functional requirements. Engage with operations team members to transition products into volume manufacturing. Assist in debug of the more technically challenging issues encountered during customer deployment.
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related discipline is required. Looking for minimum of 3+ years of digital hardware design experience or equivalent. Ideal candidate's work experience is in the computer/networking industry. Prefer experience in full product life cycle development from concept through volume manufacturing. Analog design, digital design, power subsystem, high speed SERDES, and FPGA design experience are desired. Must be highly motivated and a self-starter. Ability to work in fast paced, highly collaborative, and innovative work environment.
