What you will do:   
The eXp Partnership and Events Director plays a crucial role in identifying and building custom, mutually beneficial partnerships with outside organizations interested in branding and sponsorship opportunities at eXp events and on agent-facing platforms. The director is responsible for managing all logistics of each sponsorship through the lifecycle of an event while driving value and building relationships of loyalty and longevity. Additionally, the Director will be responsible for presenting analytics and insights to the leadership team. These key duties form the basis for measuring the individual's performance, success, and advancement within the role.   
  • Develop and implement a sponsorship strategy to meet revenue goals for global event programs.   
  • Identify potential sponsors and develop relationships with key decision-makers   
  • Create sponsorship packages that align with the needs of each sponsor and event profitability.    
  • Negotiate sponsorship agreements and ensure all terms are met   
  • Coordinate with event planners to ensure all sponsor benefits are fulfilled   
  • Provide weekly reports on the status of sponsorship sales   
  • Generate new business pipelines primarily through prospecting outbound opportunities.   
  • Create event-related revenue goals and secure partnerships to off-set expenses.   
  • Generate a database of leads by attending industry conferences or researching existing conference vendors promoting our organization   
  • Nurture early-stage opportunities   
  • Gain interest through outbound cold calling across a set of existing customers and breaking into net new logos in industry events   
  • Partner with additional business units (Commercial, Global, Magazine) to identify and source net new pipeline and assist by researching lines of business and personas   
  • Align with the internal account team to ensure client success   
  • Maintain and update CRM and provide weekly sales activities (calls, emails, and social outreach)   
  • Manage schedule, timelines, logistics invoices, contracts and budgets for partnership, industry, growth and ancillary brand event programs..   
  • Manage all invoicing, floorplans, vendor management & on-site execution.

  How you will grab our attention:    

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent years of applicable experience   
  • 8+  years of experience in event sponsorship sales or a related field   
   
  • Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential for effectively conveying the value proposition of sponsorships and building relationships with clients and partners.   
  • Relationship Building: The ability to forge strong relationships with clients and partners is crucial in order to establish successful collaborations and secure sponsorship deals.   
  • Negotiation Skills: A Sponsorship Director should possess excellent negotiation skills to effectively navigate and close deals that align with the brand's objectives and provide mutual benefits.   
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail, are vital for managing multiple sponsorships, deliverables, timelines and reporting   
  • Up-to-Date Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of event planning industry trends is important to identify emerging opportunities, anticipate market demands, and stay ahead of the competition.   
  • Proficiency in Project Management: Having strong project management skills allows for effective coordination of sponsorships, ensuring smooth execution and timely delivery of all commitments.   
  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Managing project budgets, monitoring expenses and ensuring financial goals are met.   
  • Quality Management: Establishing and implementing quality control processes and a focus on delivering high quality project outcomes   
  • Technological Familiarity: Familiarity with tools such as Monday.com, HubSpot and CVent is advantageous, as these platforms can streamline processes, facilitate collaboration, and enhance productivity.
