What you will do:    
We are looking for a dynamic Senior Director of Sustainability to lead and expand our organization's environmental, social, and governance, or “sustainability” initiatives. This role involves strategizing, implementing, and managing comprehensive programs that align with our corporate sustainability goals and values. The ideal candidate will have expertise in sustainability, social responsibility, and governance, with a strong ability to integrate these elements into our business practices.    
Foster Diverse, Equitable, and Inclusive Culture:    
  • Integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) principles into all aspects of eXp Realty’s culture.    
  • Champion DEI within the team and broader organization, promoting awareness and training on these critical issues.    
  • Ensure that sustainability strategies are inclusive and consider the diverse needs of our stakeholders and communities.    
Enhance Social Responsibility:    
  
  • Lead social responsibility initiatives, including community engagement, ethical supply chain management, and employee wellbeing programs.    
  • Promote sustainable practices and responsible behaviors throughout the organization and within its sphere of influence.    
  • Drive programs that support social responsibility, including community engagement, diversity and inclusion, employee wellbeing, and ethical supply chain management.    
Drive Climate Strategy and Reporting:    
  • Lead initiatives focused on environmental sustainability, including but not limited to, energy efficiency, waste reduction, and resource conservation.    
  • Develop and implement strategies, with a focus on energy reduction in the real estate sector.    
  • Keep abreast of global climate policies, adapting our strategies to meet evolving regulations and best practices.    
  • Monitor and deliver relevant SEC (or equivalent) reporting, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with industry standards.    
Operational Excellence:    
  • Lead the creation of sustainability reports and communications, ensuring they are accurate, comprehensive, and align with industry standards and stakeholder expectations.    
  • Engage with stakeholders, including agents, employees, customers, investors, and the community, to communicate sustainability goals, initiatives, and progress. Build partnerships to enhance ESG impact.    
  • Collaborate with various departments to integrate sustainable practices into everyday operations.    
  • Establish and monitor governance practices within the sustainability program to ensure compliance and accountability.    
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to effectively communicate and promote sustainability initiatives and achievements. Manage the creation and dissemination of sustainability reports, highlighting progress in energy management and climate impact reduction.    
  • Stay abreast of global sustainability trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve our strategies and reporting.    
How you will grab our attention:     
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent years of applicable experience    
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in sustainability, ESG or a related field.    
  • Deep understanding of sustainability principles, climate strategies and sustainability reporting.     
  • Demonstrated experience in fostering DEI and social responsibility in a corporate setting.    
  • Expertise in data analysis, reporting and presenting complex information clearly and compellingly.    
  • Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are crucial for articulating sustainability goals, initiatives, and outcomes. This includes the ability to convey complex environmental concepts clearly to a diverse range of stakeholders, including employees, partners, and the public.    
  • Relationship Building: The ability to forge and nurture strong relationships is essential. This involves collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and industry groups to drive sustainability initiatives and share best practices.    
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, along with meticulous attention to detail, are necessary for managing various sustainability projects, tracking progress, meeting deadlines, and ensuring accurate reporting on sustainability metrics.    
  • Up-to-Date Industry Knowledge: A solid understanding of sustainability trends, environmental regulations, and best practices is vital. This knowledge is key to identifying opportunities for improvement, anticipating challenges, and staying ahead in implementing effective sustainability strategies.     
  • Proficiency in Project Management: Strong project management skills are required for coordinating sustainability initiatives, ensuring they are executed smoothly, and achieving intended environmental and social outcomes.    
  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Managing project budgets, monitoring expenses and ensuring financial goals are met.    
  • Quality Management: Establishing and implementing quality control processes and a focus on delivering high quality project outcomes
