What you will do: 
The VP of Global Talent will lead both Talent Management and Talent Acquisition functions, empowering teams to take ownership of talent strategy while facilitating a skills-based workforce and internal Talent Marketplace. This role is critical in unbossing our culture, ensuring that eXp attracts, develops, and retains top talent, fosters a culture of continuous learning and growth, and embraces a decentralized, tech-enabled workplace.
Talent Strategy Development (Unboss Leadership):
  • Design and co-create a comprehensive talent strategy with empowered teams, ensuring alignment with the company’s business goals and the evolving needs of a decentralized workforce.
  • Lead with a mindset of servant leadership, encouraging decision-making across teams, fostering autonomy, and aligning talent initiatives with self-management principles.
Talent Marketplace (Skills & Agility Focus):
  • Spearhead the development of a dynamic Talent Marketplace, enabling internal mobility and optimizing talent deployment across the organization by leveraging skills over roles.
  • Ensure the Talent Marketplace operates as a self-organizing, transparent platform that aligns with eXp’s decentralized governance model.
Talent Management (Continuous Improvement):
  • Unboss talent management programs by focusing on performance management through an employee success blueprint, and leadership development based on continuous feedback and iteration.
  • Implement continuous improvement mechanisms, embracing a culture of radical transparency and using tools like Holaspirit for decentralized decision-making and alignment with organizational goals.
Talent Acquisition (Innovative and Tech-Savvy):
  • Oversee talent acquisition with a focus on innovative sourcing and recruitment strategies, leveraging technology such as eXp.World for virtual recruiting and Discord for real-time communication and transparency.
  • Embrace the unbossed hiring approach, where teams have autonomy in the recruiting process, and candidates are selected based on skills and cultural alignment.
Skills-Based Workforce (Agility and Alignment):
  • Lead the transition to a skills-based workforce, promoting agility, responsiveness, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Encourage teams to operate based on skills over traditional roles, fostering a culture of continuous learning and adaptability.
Employee Growth & Development (Continuous Learning Culture):
  • Drive continuous learning and professional development initiatives, ensuring employees have the skills needed for current and future roles.
  • Promote a culture of self-directed growth by empowering employees to leverage AI tools, internal training, and self-management principles to drive their own development.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (Empowerment Focus):
  • Unboss DEI initiatives, ensuring the creation of a diverse and inclusive workplace where every voice is heard and valued.
  • Champion a DEI strategy that promotes autonomy, collaboration, and inclusion, ensuring alignment with eXp’s unbossed, self-managed culture.
Stakeholder Collaboration (Strategic Guidance):
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and HR partners across the organization to co-create talent strategies, ensuring alignment with self-management principles and company-wide objectives.
  • Facilitate regular open strategy meetings in eXp.World, providing a space for collective decision-making and transparency.
Data-Driven Decision Making (Holistic Approach):
  • Utilize HR analytics to inform talent strategies, measuring success through KPIs such as talent mobility, employee engagement, and growth in a skills-based environment.
  • Emphasize the use of real-time data and tools like Holaspirit to track progress, drive improvements, and ensure transparency in decision-making.
Employer Branding (Tech-Savvy and Innovative):
  • Elevate eXp’s employer brand by showcasing the company’s unbossed leadership model, commitment to self-management, and cutting-edge use of technologies such as eXp.World, Holaspirit, and Discord.
  • Highlight eXp’s culture of innovation, autonomy, and continuous development to attract top talent in a competitive marketplace.
How you will grab our attention: 
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in Talent Management within dynamic, decentralized, or self-managed organizations.
  • Master’s degree preferred, or equivalent years of applicable experience, with a focus on driving innovation and leading self-managed teams.
  • Proven experience developing and co-creating talent strategies that align with business goals, fostering a culture of autonomy, ownership, and continuous growth.
  • Practical experience developing, implementing, and leading a Talent Marketplace to promote internal mobility, optimize talent utilization, and align with a skills-based workforce model.
  • Strong background in Unbossed talent management, including the design and execution of performance management systems, succession planning, and leadership development with an emphasis on continuous feedback and autonomy.
  • Experience transitioning an organization to a skills-based workforce model, including the creation of skills taxonomies, competency frameworks, and promoting a self-driven learning culture.
  • Experience leading decentralized talent acquisition teams, with a track record of utilizing innovative sourcing and recruitment strategies, leveraging digital tools such as eXp.World and Discord.
  • Knowledge of and experience in creating continuous learning initiatives within an empowered, self-managed culture, using tools like Holaspirit for development tracking and collaboration.
  • Demonstrated success in championing diversity, equity, and inclusion programs, driving measurable improvements in workplace culture by fostering a collaborative and transparent environment.
  • Tech-savvy, with proficiency in utilizing data and HR analytics to inform talent strategy decisions, measure program effectiveness, and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Experience in leading organizational change initiatives, particularly those related to workforce transformation and the transition to skills-based, self-managed teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build authentic relationships across all levels of the organization and create a culture of trust and open communication.
