What you will do:

The Designated Managing Broker will be responsible for the successful administration of eXp Realty brokerage operations at the provincial level. Supporting our agents in the delivery of exceptional real estate brokerage service to their clients, this position will be accountable for all operational elements necessary to comply with the individual provincial license law, association membership and MLS participation, along with the transaction review process, compliance training, and the eXp Risk Management program. This person will have an exceptional track record as a supervising real estate broker/manager of a medium to large firm, an understanding of real estate brokerage at a provincial level, an aptitude for leading and inspiring teams, a collaborative approach and a boundless work ethic. They must be a “peopleperson” but also possess the ability to implement systems and processes.

  • As a key participant on the eXp Realty provincial leadership team, she/he ensures that eXp delivers exceptional brokerage support to agents in their representation of clients and customers
  • Acts in the capacity of the Designated Provincial Managing Broker/Broker of Record
  • Conducts training to enhance agent’s knowledge and understanding of contract, risk management, licensing and Provincial real estate law
  • Timely and promptly responds to agent requests for assistance
  • Performs contract review to ensure legal and contractual compliance of transactions as needed
  • Coordinates distribution of inbound mail
  • Liaison between brokers and other internal departments when necessary
  • Periodic Face to Face meetings to cultivate trust and collaboration
  • Promote practices to better ensure the safety and well-being of all brokers
  • Promotes a culture that is positive and supportive, upholding the core values of eXp Realty including collaboration, transparency, integrity, agile, agent-centric, and are relationship focused
  • Recognizes and adheres to the employee/employer model, guidelines and direction as an eXp Realty Leadership Staff member
  • Embraces and promotes the eXp Realty World Campus and cloud environment
  • Engages in active involvement with local, Provincial, and national association of Realtors and is the primary point person for eXp’s relationship with the associations and Multiple Listing Services
  • Performs contract review to ensure legal and contractual compliance of transactions in a timely manner as needed
  • Responsible for the administration and management of eXp’s Provincial Trust Accounts according to provincial law
  • Collaborates with the Regional Operations Manager, others as assigned, and the eXp Legal Department to ensure that eXp Provincial brokerage operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations including provincial license law
  • Monitors provincial performance goals and enforce accountability for their achievement
  • Ensures the implementation of the eXp Risk Management Program and valued risk management tools to eXp brokers
  • Manages and implements the ongoing enhancement of and compliance with companywide and individual provincial brokerage operations manuals
  • Provides oversight of customer facing marketing activities
  • Mediates issues between eXp brokers within the province when required
  • Supports innovation in how the company can efficiently support its growing provincial agent base in terms of brokerage operations
  • Supports eXp Growth Leaders by positively engaging with prospective brokers, groups and teams who are interested in joining eXp
  • Works hand-in-hand with eXp Growth Leaders for the overall success of eXp Realty in their province
  • Provides monthly reports to leadership regarding Brokerage Operations key indicators
  • When applicable, provides leadership and guidance to Managing Brokers and all administrative support members in the province
  • Such other duties as may be assigned
  • Regularly conducts training to enhance broker’s knowledge and understanding of contracts, risk management, licensing and both federal and provincial real estate law and compliance to our FINTRAC Manual, Privacy Policy, DNC List and requirements and the Competition Act
  • Effectively consults and engages with eXp agents and others in problem solving of matters associated with difficult or complex transaction issues
  • Provides guidance and support to brokers as needed
  • Provincial Broker will encourage brokers to utilize eXp tools & amp; platforms as their primary resource
  • Your job includes any EXPI entity, in your area, that may be assigned
  • Coordinate the French translations with the Marketing teams and others
  • Regularly pick up cheques at the local office and deposit via FTNI APP

How you will grab our attention:

  • Holds an active real estate broker designated license AEO with continuing education credits in real estate management and legal compliance
  • A keen interest in and high level, experience in real estate compliance activities including a deep knowledge and understanding of legal obligations of real estate professionals under the provincial and federal law, FINTRAC, Privacy Act, the CREA Code of Ethics and MLS Rules and Regulations
  • Proven track record of managing a medium to large brokerage firm, specifically from an operations or compliance perspective
  • Ability to lead and motivate others including a track record of developing staff and maintaining a high standard of employee relations
  • Excellent communication skills - written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills across all levels of the organization
  • Highly collaborative and capable of working with internal partners to facilitate successful results both in person and in a virtual environment
  • Ability to think operationally and strategically to achieve business goals
  • Able to drive results and meet goals with a strong sense of urgency
  • Ability to make quick decisions and solve problems using good judgment
  • Possess the highest degree of integrity
  • Willingness and ability to travel
  • Member in good standing of the Canadian Real Estate Association and local council
  • A working knowledge of Broker Wolf and SkySlope EZ MAX Preferred
  • Designated Managing Brokers will adhere and abide by all requirements of the council
  • Must be Bilingual (English & French)
  • Ability to work from a remote environment
