We are seeking a talented and professional Contractor (Communications Specialist Skillset) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Communication & Storytelling
- Develop and execute a unified communication strategy for the Risk Infrastructure (RI) organization.
- Translate technical achievements into compelling business value stories for executive audiences.
- Create executive summary templates, storytelling frameworks, and a storytelling template library.
- Build and maintain a business value framework aligning RI work to strategic goals.
- Communication Content & Internal Engagement
- Draft and manage communications plans, messages, and updates for program milestones and success stories.
- Create engaging content to be shared through different communication methods (newsletters, status reports, townhalls)
- Organize and script executive-level presentations and internal town halls.
- Monitor internal feedback and adjust communication strategies accordingly.
- Manage program branding guidelines and ensure consistency across all communications materials.
- Analytics & Performance Reporting
- Work with team to create a centralized performance dashboard using Tableau and Snowflake.
- Implement standardized reporting templates, KPIs, and OKR alignment across teams.
- Translate technical metrics into unified business impact narratives.
- Measure communication effectiveness and present performance reports.
- Standardization & Governance
- Create standardized templates for reporting (MBRs, OKRs, dashboards).
- Define guidelines for tool usage (e.g., Airtable, Confluence) across teams.
- Establish a communications governance framework and assign ownership for each communication phase.
- Continuously update documentation and enable sustainability through knowledge transfer processes.
- Training & Capability Building
- Develop training materials and confluence documentation to enhance storytelling and communication skills across teams.
- Upskill teams on consistent performance measurement and analytical methodologies.
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Act as a liaison between senior leaders and teams.
- Align communication strategies across departments and geographies.
- Act as the primary liaison between the communications team and program workstreams to stay informed of developments.
- Provide coaching and guidance to program leaders on effective communication practices.
- Stay ahead of industry trends to recommend innovative approaches for enhancing communication efforts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in corporate communications
- Experience in technology, risk, or financial services preferred.
- Experience working within a highly technical environment.
- Exceptional storytelling ability with a knack for translating technical concepts into compelling narratives.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of influencing senior executives and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Strong project management and multitasking capabilities.
- Executive-level communication and stakeholder management.
- Expertise in google slide presentations
- Comfortable working with analytics platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Tableau) and reading/understanding data effectively.
- Experience in Airtable, Confluence, and Jira preferred
- Highly collaborative with excellent interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
