We are seeking a talented and professional LATAM – Data Engineer Skillset to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build data models to support business requirements.
- Assist in the design of scalable big data platforms/solutions used to ingest and process accurately scaled traffic data.
- Work to build end-to-end solutions that enable business stakeholders, BI engineers, and analysts to self-serve their business intelligence needs.
- Develop and automate large scale, high-performance, scalable platform (batch and/or streaming) to drive faster analytics.
- Design large-scale, complex applications and frameworks with excellent run-time characteristics such as low-latency, fault-tolerance, and availability.
- Build and maintain custom frameworks to support engineering/analytics needs.
- Partner with analytic consumers and data scientists to build and improve new/existing constructs and solve data engineering problems at scale.
- Deploy inclusive data quality checks to ensure high quality of data.
- Evangelize high quality software engineering practices towards building data infrastructure and pipelines at scale.
- Develop and maintain data ingestion and processing systems.
- Implement data storage solutions (databases and data lakes).
- Ensure data consistency and accuracy through validation and cleansing techniques.
- Work cross-functionally with teams to identify and address data-related issues.
- Transform innovative concepts into practical solutions.
- Provides intermediate-level engineering design functions.
- Proposes opportunities to improve results based on targeted or continuous assessment.
- Participates in enterprise planning activity, including vendor assessment, technology platform selection and retirement, prioritization, and integration.
- Provide operational readiness for applications that enables seamless 24x7x365 production support and technical support.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience, Snowflake, Alation, DBT, Tableau, Monte Carlo, Opsgenie, DataDog, Lucid, GitLab.
- Proficiency in the following programming languages: Python, Java, Scala).
- Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark and Kafka.
- Knowledge of database management systems, both relational (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Familiarity with data integration and ETL tools, such as Talend, Informatica, or Apache NiFi.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and techniques.
